RubiesRubie's Big Dog Boutique Prince Dog Costume, XXL

I got the 2XL for my 65 lb golden retriever and it was such a cute costume for her. We didn't use the ribbons around her legs because she has so much hair it wasn't worth it to me personally. The hat does not stay on well - put it on for a picture but one good dog shake and its a necklace. The costume itself stretches nicely, the skirt is adorable and she seemed unfazed by it - meaning it was comfortable. The Velcro would pop open so the the costume wasn't fully closed around her chest and torso, but to me, that didn't matter much. Cute, low fuss, costume for the price.

My Pittie has SUCH a big chest & neck, finding anything to fit her is pretty much impossible. This was about as close as I could get. The size XXL was too small around her neck & upper chest, so I wasn't able to close the top 2 velcro spots, but the other 2 or 3 further down closed fine. The XXL was already too long for her so if I had gone up to an XXXL to fit her neck/chest, it would have been ridiculously long & way too loose around her midsection. I just used scissors to cut some of the length from the bottom netting part, so she wouldn't step on it. I only wanted it for the dress for a charity pageant my dog was taking part in, so I didn't try anything with the hat or leg ribbons. I'm happy with the quality. I put it on her / took it off several times, and she wore it for 2 hours at the pageant, and it held up great.

Got the 2xl for my muscled out baby girl. The dress was pretty long and a tiny bit loose so I should have got an XL but a quick trim and adjustment of Velcro and she looks gorgeous.**For reference she's a pitbull mix about 55lbs and has a broad chest and slim figure muscled figure.**

I ordered a large. This was for a 30 pound dog the costume was cheaply, made fit very tight, so-called maiden hat what a fit, a cat, not a dog, but definitely false advertising would never buy again.

Hat is WAY SMALLER than pictured. It's very hard to find anything cute for my big girl, so was so excited over this outfit. The dress and ribbons are very cute and fit well. But the hat is for a Chihuahua, nothing near large enough for a large let alone XX-large dog. Went to my local Target and found a bright pink bow that she will be wearing instead.

My baby was given a few weeks to live so I gave her one last Halloween. The ribbons fall off quickly with normal (or even lethargic) dog movement but they were so beautiful when I first tied them on. I think the fabric is not too cheap for a simple few hour doggie costume. Everyone that saw her loved it. My Ozzy looked like a princess for sure.

It's hard to find costumes for large dogs but this one worked out well on my 70lb dog. She didn't really like wearing it but it fit her well and seems to be good quality for the price.

Very cute but not very well made. We got the large size for our dashund - corgi mix and it was a bit tight on the chest but length was ok. She wore it once and after an hour and a half, one of the hat ties had come off as well as the boa-like neck liner. She didn't play rough in it, just walked around trick-or-treating. I would not recommend this. I feel it a waste of $20.
