An Inexpensive Feature-Rich Camera
The media could not be loaded. NOTE: long review but worth reading for tips and features.I shopped for a tiny sport camera that had to meet two criteria: it had to fit the 3D printed camera mount on my bike and it had to have an HDMI port to play back videos directly on my TV. With the APEXCAM I got that and more for less than $40. In the box were: a zippered case, the camera, camera mounts for any need, a remote control, TWO rechargeable batteries, a charging case and cord, and — a big surprise — a lavalier microphone! (There’s a built-in mike too.)The camera itself is a wonder. My previous sport cam had three or four settings total but the Apexcam has four separate menus of settings. There are settings for picture quality and pixel count, settings for color tone including B&W and Sepia if you want something other than the default settings. It seems just about every facet of still or video filming is adjustable in the Settings menus.Use the camera’s WiFi to connect to your phone or tablet by downloading the free Live DV app. TIP: if the app doesn’t want to load completely go to the app settings and turn off the cellular data option. After that the app loaded and worked fine. I could transfer items to the phone via wifi and control the camera in the app. (This is in addition to the wrist-mounted remote control that came with the camera.)You will need a MicroSD card up to 64 gig before you can use the camera. Some cameras like this will appear to be dead unless there’s a card inserted. I already had a card because: nerd. TIP: format the card in the camera to get the best results. There’s a Format option in one of the camera menus. To play back through HDMI to a TV or computer monitor you’ll also need an adaptor to convert the tiny HDMI port on the camera to the full-size port your TV uses. Those aren’t expensive but one is not included. I already had one. Without that adaptor you can either download pics and vids by direct connection to a computer, cable included, or remove the SD card and copy to your phone, tablet or computer using a card reader. My 5-star review is because I’m impressed with the value for the price and with the features of the camera and accessories. I am in no way connected with the maker or seller. Having used the camera for about a week in various circumstances I heartily recommend it. I think you’ll be happy too.

Good camera, great value!
Great camera especially at the price point. The camera is easy to use, comes with a variety of attachments options, waterproof case and accessories that all fit snugly in a professionally looking travel case. Battery life is good and there is an even additional battery included at no additional cost. Would buy again.

Good for the price, battery could be better, get an aftermarket mic
Sound is meh even with the mic provided so get your own.The software is kind of a pain to use when using their app and waiting forever for files to transfer so I recommend getting something to physically put the micro SD card into and take the footage from. Using the app is really bad.Quality is alright. 4k sure but it'll die fast so if you want to record more than an hour bring it's second battery.Battery lasts about an hour each.

Tiny but mighty!
This camera is little but awesome!!!! It came with a bunch of accessories and even a microphone! 2 batteries which is great! Each one gets about an hour of use time. It’s isn’t heavy it’s light. And it’s waterproof!! Works perfect for our outdoor YouTube channel!

Definitely not GoPro quality, but okay for price
I wanted to buy a waterproof camera to take on a snorkeling trip later this year without having to spend what I'd have to for a GoPro brand. Got everything set up fairly easily with formatting the micro SD card (not included & purchased separately) and charging the batteries (also not included is the plug that you need to plug the USB into an electrical outlet, but I have an abundance of those lying around). I took video with the camera dunked under water in my bathroom sink, and the waterproof case works great. I'm not impressed with the audio recording volume. It's turned all the way up, and still the sound is minimal when playing the video back, even when I plugged the SD card into my laptop, and I had also tested it by taking some video with the camera out of the waterproof case. The picture quality seems okay, but it seems a LOT of light is needed to capture any sort of good color. I hate to say, but my Galaxy S8 takes better pics & video in low light conditions. Perhaps there's a setting I don't have configured right? Not sure. Also, there are a TON of accessories included, but not being camera savvy, I have not a clue what to do with most of them. Will have to seek help from my photography friends on those because the enclosed instruction manual was very little help. I tried to find one online also, but didn't have a whole lot of success with that either. Overall, I'd say if you just want some video--especially underwater--without the high cost of a GoPro, then this little camera will probably do what you need it to for the low price. If I can remember to, I'll update after my trip.
