Very Nice Olive Oil
We really love this olive oil in our household and have taken to purchasing it on the subscription plan. We have found this olive oil so tasty and versatile that we use it for everything. (Well, almost. I insist on using real butter for my chocolate chip cookies) Its color is a pleasing light yellow-gold with a hint of green. It is of very consistent quality batch-to-batch and is better and less expensive than what I can find locally. The taste is smooth and fruity with no bitterness, but mild enough to use as a substitute for butter in most recipes. It is good enough to stand alone with some good french bread and aged balsamic vinegar but inexpensive enough that we use it for all our cooking and sauces. I like the fact that it comes in a tin that is attractive enough to leave on the kitchen counter and it also protects the contents from light. the pull out pouring spout meters the oil well and prevents most drips. This presents a very nice balance between quality and price. There may be better olive oils out there, and certainly less expensive ones, but this one hits the sweet spot between quality and value.

The finish is much smoother than Italian evoo
1) The finish is much smoother than Italian evoo with its abrupt, harsh peppery finish.2) Can is much easier than bottle for my arthritic hands to cope with.3) Opaque metal container protects evoo from exposure to sunlight and maintains product freshness longer than bottles do.

Our go-to
Our personal favorite, and we try to keep a liter can on hand all the time. The 2-1 liter pack is convenient and ships well.Good for cooking and raw consumption (dipping, dressings). Sweet and delicious, and as far as cost not too bad, especially given the quality. Probably buying it for 7-8 years or more and never let us down.

Favorite olive oil
Zoe is one of my favorites. I like the flavor of Spanish olive oils and Zoe does not disappoint. To me they have a citrus-y zing and a little bit of a pepper bite. I could (and sometimes do, shhh) drink it.I like that it’s organic and that the company is eco conscious as well.Win win! This a great price btw.

Absolutely Amazing
This olive oil is so amazing! It is flavorful, with a beautiful color. The tins are beautiful, and very convenient for protecting the olive oil from light. You cannot beat this price for the quality (especially if you subscribe to have it shipped automatically)!I highly recommend this olive oil for everyday cooking!LOVE IT!UPDATE 1 1/2 YEARS LATER:I still use this with all of my cooking: pasta, roasting meats&veggies, pizza dough, bread, etc!It is auto-shipped every six months, and I love this olive oil.I have not had any issue with quality, shipping, taste, or longevity. Also, I was using with a oil cruet, but I find it easier to pour straight from the tin. I have no mess doing this, and I get a nice flow.TIP: Use this nightly on your face to cleanse, moisturize, and remove makeup. Wipe off with a towel. Then, use a normal facial cleanser. This works great, even for oily skin (which I have)!

Great Quality, Pretty Good flavor
I had high expectations for this olive oil by Zoe. I really wanted to like it as I am incorporating more olive oil in my diet because of its health benefits.Unfortunately, it tastes "off" to me and it has a heavy, oily flavor. I realize it is, after all, olive oil so it should be "oily," but I wish it could be oily without tasting oily.I thought it was because I was use to using a lesser quality olive oil and I just needed to get use to using a higher quality one. However, it is just getting worse tasting to me, not better.I will give the company high compliments on the can -- it is gorgeous.I am doing my research on other olive oils so I can try again.UPDATE:I am upgrading my review to a 3 star rating because I have tried two others and find them also so-so. I think I have to concede that I personally do not like the taste of olive oil. I hate to give Zoe a bad product review because of my personal likes and dislikes. I can tell it is a high quality product, so if you like the taste of olive oil, I would recommend this as one to try. And as I said, the can is attractive and something you would be proud to leave out on your counter if you use olive oil often.

Excellent Olive Oil at An Outstanding Price...
As someone who bakes breads almost every other day, I use a lot of olive oil during baking and when eating the finished product. I saw the Zoe Extra Virgin Olive Oil as a Gold Box special, read the reviews, and decided to give it a try. The oil arrived promptly, was well packaged, and there was no damage to the tins. This olive oil has a nice golden color, a lush mouth-feel, and a pleasant peppery after-bite. The olive flavor is distinct, but not over powering - something that makes it nice for individuals who prefer a milder taste. In my opinion, the actual taste was a bit nutty - but taste is subjective and very individual, so you must judge that aspect of this oil yourself. When using this oil as a part of my Italian Butter, I did cut the ground black pepper componant so that the other ingredients were not overwhelmed by the pepper taste. That recipe takes 12 ounces of oil, pepper to taste (usually 6 turns of the grinder), ground sea salt (6 turns), 2 garlic cloves grated on a zester or crushed, Mince 1 1 /2 teaspoons each of fresh oregno, fresh rosemary, and of fresh sweet basil. Add all to the oil and allow to steep for several days before using.Unlike better oils, Zoe Extra Virgin Olive Oil does not give a harvest date or a specific location from which the olives originated. If you are an olive oil afficianado, this is something that may concern you. However, if you are looking for an excellent olive oil, at an outstanding price you should give Zoe a try. I found this to be equal to Costco's Kirkland Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the 1 liter bottle.
