The media could not be loaded.  I've had outdoor candles before and they are usually very cheap looking compared to the flameless indoor candles but that is not the case with this set. They have a nice feel to them due to the frosted texture so they are slightly matte, not the shiny smooth finish. The flame is flickering so it looks more realistic, it is not the fixed bulb type but the flat tip that moves. I purchased this for my Mother's memorial cemetery light (even writing that seems so surreal) instead of real candles and after receiving them I don't think they will fit in the vessel but I am still keeping them. They are that nice. The timer is another great feature, exactly what I wanted and goes up to 8 hours on time. The brightness of the flame can also be dimmed which is a plus. I recommend this item.UPDATE: These candles do fit in the memorial lights and are perfect!

I live in an apartment in south Texas, where storms, including hurricanes, are common. After the February freeze that also caused a power loss for me for a full day, I decided to be more proactive. So far, I've bought a small power station that will charge my phone, Kindle, and laptop; a rechargable light bulb for the living room lamp; and these candles, so in a nighttime power outage, I can move from one room to the next in my small place without walking through complete darkness. Close-up, of course, these look like the plastic they're made of, but at a distance, for mood lighting or emergency lighting that's about the same as a nightlight, they're absolutely fine. The remote also works well, although I haven't tried the timer function. I'm one of those crazy, "educated" Texans who actually believes that climate change is real, so I know that natural disasters, as well as man-made ones, like the February power outages, will continue, and I wanted to be more prepared.

They came on every night before 7pm and illuminated the dining room table so beautifully. Then I noticed these posh homeowners had them outside as well. When I looked into them, I found they were $25 -$45 EACH(!) depending on the height. Waaaaay beyond my house sitter’s means! But they were oh so pretty! I went back to sit last month and there they were - taunting me with their dancing radiance and consistent timer function at 7pm! I quickly jumped on Amazon and found someone finally made these beauties affordable! I bought 3 sets (9 candles total) for less than one medium size candle posh house has! I am so very delighted with these! I wanted them for my newly remodeled bath, where real candles won’t do (smoke, mess, etc.). Bonus - they’re water resistant! The video shows the remote control is easy to use, but I plan on setting and forgetting. I love the brightness, glow, and comfort of knowing they’re safe. But, MAN, do they look real!

The media could not be loaded.  This was way beyond my expectations. It wasn’t expensive, so I thought it’d be cheap, but I’m extremely impressed. The remote works great, the flames look realistic, and they don’t feel cheaply made at all. They are substantial in weight and a great size. The brightness is realistic and adjustable- a bit brighter than the pictures show simply because it washed out the photos/video. I would absolutely purchase again! Looks great in a fake fireplace I made!

I love candles and these look like the real thing in holders on my mantle. I was skeptical when I took them out of the box, but once I added batteries and put them in place, they are wonderful.The remote function is also great. There are a lot of options on how you want the candles to operate, a dim function, and 2,4,6,8 hour buttons so you don’t have to worry about running the batteries down. I’m very happy with this purchase and got a great deal.

I purchased these as Christmas presents, so I can't atest to their durability. I like that they are made of plastic and not wax, so they shouldn't melt if left in the sun.I added sisser permanent vinyl to them for decorations.The remote control comes with a button battery, but you will need 6 AA batteries (2 for each candle).One remote worked on both sets of candles so if you wanted to buy more than one set you could control them all with the same remote.I haven't tested the timer feature.I love that I have the option to have a flicker light (candle) or a steady light (light) and I can adjust the brightness on both.Only thing I'm not thrilled about is the plastic flame, I would have liked a 3D looking flame, but it is as advertised.

The media could not be loaded.  These are not as nice as the expensive candles with the actual wax body, but from a distance you can’t really tell the difference - plus you get three for less than the price of one! And a remote! These are perfect for our RV! They ‘flicker’ and look very good! The remote works great. The only thing to note is if you press the ‘candle’ button, the flame does not flicker. You must press the ‘light’ button to get the flickering effect.
