I always replace both the igniter and the flame sensor on my Goodman furnace yearly. I had no idea that there was an upgraded igniter that offered a larger less brittle heating surface. As always Goodman's placement of this element on my model is hard to get to, (behind the gas valve) but having the extra protection of a larger igniter surface makes it a little less stressful on installation.

First and most importantly, the part was used. You can see the burn marks from other customers attempting to use it. It fits perfectly but it’s not the correct part as described. I would have provided a picture but I was in a rush to get my heat working! Returned it ASAP!Secondly, This company “claims” that this part is compatible for Goodman Furnace, part # 201657-03 amongst other part numbers. It’s not! The gas clicks on, the fire hits it, then it shuts down for safety reasons. That means it’s not sensing an actual sensor because it’s not a comparable part. I ordered from another Amazon seller & the part is perfect! So good, I ordered a backup part just in case.Lastly, the actual metal sensor part, ceramic not included is too small. The length, width & circumference are way too small. The original and new part I ordered that actually work have a much larger surface area for the flame to hit, & sense that something is there.
