Solar Powered Snake Repellent to Secure your Living Environment Read instructions emailed to you thoroughly. The repeller transmits its signal in all directions approx. 50 ft so they can be placed approx. 100 ft apart in high risk areas, it is always recommended to use two or more units to get the best results. Insert the spike into the ground paying attention not to damage the unit. The spike should be firmly planted while leaving the base of the head 1-2” above the ground. We suggest use a crowbar to first make a small hole and gently push the spike in or dig a small hole and backfill with earth after the unit is in place. If the repeller unit is placed on a slight angle facing the sun often a better battery life can be achieved through better charge rate. Normally the only maintenance required is with a soft cloth, wipe the solar panel cover to remove any excess dirt and grime. When the units are first installed we suggest you watch any children or pets in case they come across any resident snakes that are driven out.

These work..good bye moles and gophers..
We moved into a home with a large yard and place for a garden. The yard looked like a war zone with gopher holes everywhere and moles tracks ( tunnels) everywhere you stepped. I trapped some of the gophers, and planted a garden..but the moles were damaging the plants while burrowing under them searching for worms. In desperation I ordered one of the OUTXPRO solar repeller and installed it. When I connected the wires it started to operate, but when I checked on it the moles were as busy as ever. I found the repeller was not working. It was replaced promptly and within a couple of days I was impressed. Only a couple of mole tunnels ( tracks) but after a few more days I purchased 2 more repellers. It seems these things actually work. These two have been in operation for about five days. I have been recommending these to my friends. What a relief. MY garden, even in this Texas heat is doing well. My garden and yard are in East Texas sandy soil. Very IMPRESSED.

Appears to be working
Customer service for this product is outstanding. I purchased 3 and one was defective and another one was sent immediately.I have voles eating my beets, potatoes, carrots and rhubarb. I purchased these to see if they would deter the voles. The units beep, the post vibrates in the ground and a light blinks under the solar panel toward the ground. The recommended spacing is about 100' but I have them about 20' apart in various parts of my garden the voles were attacking. I also put mouse traps out in case the units didn't work--I haven't caught any voles in the mouse traps. Since I haven't dug my crops up yet, it is hard to tell if there is any new damage. The units appear to be working. One important thing is that the units do beep--to annoy the critters. The sound carries about 40'. I live in a very quiet location--no road or any other noise at night. So make sure that you place them where you or your neighbors won't hear them at night. My garden is watered twice a day and the water has not affected them.

Loud, but is working so far
I bought this for our yard because we live way out in the country in Texas with no close neighbors. The country is nice, but unfortunately we share the area with snakes, rats, and mice. My cats are always killing the rodents and bringing mouse and rat body parts to me as a gift, which I am not too fond of. I also have dogs that like to go outside and I would be completely devastated if any of my animals got bit by a rattle snake, which are really common out here. I figured trying one of these devices out definitely could not make my situation worse. I love that it is solar powered. I absolutely hate spending money on batteries, so anything that uses free energy is a pro in my book. The device was simple and quick to assemble. I used a crowbar to dig a hole and installed it right next to the bottom step of our front porch. I also like that it lights up at night and makes it easier to see the stairs on our porch. What I do not like about this device is that it is very loud. I cannot hear it from inside, but it a bit annoying if I am standing on the porch. It has an off switch so if we are hanging out outside, it is easy to turn off so we do not have to hear it but I wish that it was silent. For this reason, I have to take away a star. I have had this device installed 10 days and so far my cats have not brought me any unwanted gifts and I have not spotted any snakes. If anything changes, I will be sure to update my review and my rating. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. nice lights for the mice to eat by
I bought 4 of these in May, by the end of July only 1 still works. The 1 that still works is inside of a greenhouse, the 3 that quit working were outside. The light on the 1 in the greenhouse lights up the entrance to the mouse hole next to the unit, so the mice can see to get into the hole at nite, which wasnt why I bought it; but nice for the mice I guess. There are solar pwered path lamps in the yard with the 3 units that quit working; but the solar path lights work just fine. You can draw your own conclusions as to the value of 4 units that only work for at best 7-8 weeks & cast $100.00I cant see the point of buying any more, since these didnt work regularly for the almost 2 months that some did work ( I had to disconnect & reconnect 1 unit EVERYDAY to get it to work until the next morning, then do it again... not my idea of a desireable hobby)I saw the 50% negative reviews; but I took a chance & got these anyway... lifes a gamble, sometimes you LOSE !!!If you feel lucky, take a chance, I did...

No more mounds!
I had a gopher problem in my back yard, usually getting a new mound once a week. I figured I would try to get rid of the issue in a humane way before I called an exterminator out so I bought this. After putting this together and you are getting ready to install it, unless your area is very soft dirt, I would highly recommend you dig a hole to avoid product damage. The silver stake feels to be aluminum and it has a green plastic tip that would be easily damaged. It also has a single LED light that lights up during the night, although I have noticed that some nights it doesn't work at all. The unit does vibrate about once a minute and this is what the critters don't like, the sound that it makes. If it is audibly a nuisance to you, try burying the stake a bit deeper and the sound should diminish. After a few weeks, I have not had a single new mound appear so I would highly recommend this product!

JUNK.....DO NOT BUY
Junk, lasted maybe a month. DO NOT BUY......Buy the unit on Harbor Freight...search on Mole Repellent. I bought 2...and plan to buy 2 more from them...Those have been working for over a year. We have Copperheads in our area, part of my 2 acres is woody and brush... and so far I have not seen one near the unit. Had one in my yard once before I installed it (and I killed the snake)....You can hear it "buzzing" once a minute of so for 10-15 feet away. It seems to work as I have no snakes since and we just killed a Copperhead in my neighbors yard recently. I also use a snake repellent powder, very pungent smell. I have small dogs. Not good if they have an encounter with a Copperhead. I hear lots of mothballs tossed in the yard perimeter are good too.
