Was an exact replacement for my Dell inspiron fan.

This replacement fan worked perfectly in my Dell Inspiron 5378, it is very quiet and keeps the laptop cool. even running CPU-Z "stress CPU" the bottom of the laptop did not get uncomfortably hot (i3-7100u). The fan is easy to replace, there are videos online, the hardest part is getting the back off, but there are no hidden screws on my model (Thank you Dell!). The fan itself is held on by 2 screws and the connector.While in there I recommend that you replace the thermal paste, just be careful of the little pink pad under the heat pipe on the CPU. I reused that with out a problem.

This fan is a "perfect fit" replacement for the Dell Inspiron 15 7579 but makes WAY more noise. It is doing a very effective job of cooling the laptop though. I almost returned it to go in search of a quieter fan but didn't want to deal with the hassle. It works.

My laptop is old and it needed some TLC. This CPU fan was easy to replace the old one with and now it's whisper quiet again and keeps the machine cool. Definitely was a major improvement and needed.
