Ikea GOSA PINJE Pillow, a low profile down feather pillow, stomach sleeper, Standard Size

The package insert indicates that the pillow will continue to fluff up over the next several days after you get it. I LOVED it the first night; now it is too fluffy for me, a dedicated stomach sleeper. The pillow will squish down, but not enough for me. I still found the unfluffed version a lot more comfortable and I've returned to using my extremely tired Frostline pillow that I made from a kit.I think I will remove about a quarter of the feathers/down from the Ikea pillow and then it should be about right. To anyone who wants to do the same: Frostline told me to wet the feathers and then they could be transferred without covering the entire room. You CAN wash the Ikea pillow according to the insert and dry it too. So, after removing all the feathers you wish to, dry the pillow according to the directions and you should be fine.

Bought this for my wonderful fiance. She has a habit of "sleeping wrong" which results in her waking up with a stiff neck which in turn becomes a migraine which in turn causes her to become a very unhappy lady which results in me, the dog and the cat hiding out of sight for the better part of the day trying to keep quiet.So while I did buy this for her, there was a bit of a self serving aspect to it, ultimately it was a win win win win for all of us. She get's a great night's sleep on this very comfortable pillow, the dog, cat and I get to go about our lives as we normally would without bothering anybody and the migraines are almost a thing of the past.Some of the similar pillows were reviewed as having odors, I can't say that this one had any, although the dog was VERY interested in it, must be the feathers in it.If you're looking for a low profile down pillow, I don't think this will let you down (see the play on words there). Everyone is unique, but this pillow is all it's advertised as and so far (2 full months of use) seems to be performing well.

I have read a LOT of pillow reviews and there are always complete opposite opinions, so I guess its all about what kind of pillow you like. If you like a flatter pillow you can shape under your head, then this is a good pillow. I sleep on my side/ stomach so this pillow works. It is just the right flatness for my 3 yr old to sleep with. Other wise this pillow is just ok, but horrible for the price. I know there are lots of cheaper flat pillows out there. I bought an cheaper Pacific Coast pillow and like it much more.

Most pillows are overstuffed, so I've been trying to find a pillow to my liking. The Gosa Pinje pillow is nice, quality wise. But it compresses to almost nothing when I rest my head on it. It maybe lifts the head about a quarter of an inch from the mattress. I was hoping for about one inch worth of support.

Although the feathers were relatively soft, I was very disappointed by the material used to enclose the feathers. It has that "crinkly" feel of a cheap pillow, which is a little loud and uncomfortable. If you don't mind this material, this is an alright pillow for the price! But unfortunately for me, it just ended up in my linen closet...

I'm delighted with this purchase. I have a very peculiar neck issue and can only sleep on my side and almost all pillows are too high. I have to try and take out some of the contents and it makes a complete mess and only works to a certain extent. This pillow is perfect. I haven't experienced any prickly feathers...I put it in a mite resistant case first, then put my usual pillow case over it. And of course I am on my side.

Bought this for my daughter, hoping it would help relieve her headaches. She currently sleeps with a worn out feather pillow that is flat as a pancake. This pillow is not much better. She's using it, but is not impressed. How she can sleep on such a flat pillow escapes me!

I purchased this pillow because I'm a side/stomach sleeper and have damaged discs in my neck. Most other pillows are just too thick for me. So far, so good. It does compress down to the thickness that I like without too much adjustment and does not hurt my neck like most other pillows. I haven't had it long enough to wash it yet, so I can't comment on that aspect. So far, I'm happy
