Great For Area Rugs
This pad works great in holding down an area rug on a hard wood floor. Without it, the rug would not stay in place. With it, the rug is firmly held in place.

at first not what i expected but...
we have hardwood floors. our persian style area rug was always sliding around and hoped this would stop the movement.at first i needed to cut the corners off to better fit the oval shaped rug. however once in place i was surprised to find it still slid around a lot?that said after a couple of days of 'foot traffic' that surprisingly changed. the weight of us walking on it for a few days changed everything for the better.now it stays exactly in place, no rug movement whatsoever. I'm glad it's worked out as hoped just wish I'd known before that the mat's sticking power so to speak takes a bit of weight and time to start holding things securely.all said the mat works well and I'm happy with that.

Thin and works
Out of the package has that strange smell, sticky so gently pull apart and cut to the size you need. It hold it down, usual the corners flip up so tape then if you want perfection. It holds the carpet in place it's not padding.

It works!
If you want a cheaper rug gripper that doesn’t add height to your rug, get this. We’ve had this for months now for our living room and there hasn’t been any slippage. The only thing is to make sure the padding reaches all edges of your rug so that you don’t have the potential of slip. The best part is if for some reason it doesn’t fit the exact measurements of your rug, you can always trim it and use the excess where you need it - if you need it!Bonus perk: it’s a great drawer liner too if you cut it up and it saves you so much $$$.I will definitely repurchase.

Stability with Caveats: Veken Non Slip Rug Pad Gripper
The Veken Non Slip Rug Pad Gripper offers a functional solution for keeping area rugs anchored on hard surface floors. Measuring 8 x 10 feet, this pad is suitably sized for larger rugs, providing substantial coverage and improved safety by preventing slips and slides. One of the primary advantages of this rug pad is its thickness. The extra padding not only helps in keeping the rug in place but also adds a layer of cushioning, which enhances comfort underfoot. This feature is particularly beneficial in high-traffic areas where additional softness is appreciated. However, while the Veken Rug Pad does a commendable job at preventing movement of rugs, it can be somewhat cumbersome to adjust once placed under a rug due to its size and thickness. This might be a minor inconvenience during initial setup or when you need to realign your rug and pad.Additionally, some users might find that the pad requires frequent cleaning to maintain its non-slip properties, especially in households with pets or children. The maintenance involved might not be ideal for everyone, especially those looking for a low-effort solution. In conclusion, the Veken Non Slip Rug Pad Gripper does deliver on its promise to keep your rugs secure and in place. It's particularly effective for larger area rugs on hard floors. However, be prepared for a bit of extra effort in terms of installation and maintenance. If you value stability over convenience, this rug pad could be a solid choice.

Non-skid rug gripper
Bought this for a circular rug for our front door entrance. Price was really good. Had to cut the pad which wasn't a problem. Laid the pad on the floor, placed the rug on top of the pad, and used the rug edge as a guide. Then I marked tick marks on the pad about 1" from the line that I drew. This makes the pad slightly smaller than the size of the rug. I didn't want the pad to show under the rug. Then I cut along the tick marks. So far the pad has prevented the rug from slipping on the wood floor. The pad does not stick to the bottom of the rug but since the pad has a low profile the outer edge of the rug doesn't lift off the floor. I'm satisfied with it. I might go ahead and purchase smaller rectangular pads for the bather rugs. I didn't rate on "softness" thinking that it doesn't apply.

I have not the slightest problem with this
The home I moved into had a front entrance carpet I didn't like, and I got a new one, 3 X 8 ft. The previous carpet had sticky corner pieces to help it stay in place. These did not work well at all. While this under pad is a foot shorter sidewise, it is just fine for the purpose, and I am finding no slip at all. This is, by the way, on faux wood vinyl planks.

Good!
I got this to be under one of my rugs and it literally it does its job at grips. It doesn’t move just does its job. The only thing was that it was a little smelly like it. Kind of smelled factory chemically and I’ve had the Pad for a couple weeks now and it the room still kinda smells faintly like that that chemical smell but it’s starting to dissipate.I am happy I got it cause it was a good price. It was the large size and it does what it needs to do.

Does the job
I use this to help keep some foam-ish puzzle piece sheets from sliding over a wood floor. It works fine. Nothing special about the product though, you can find this in any hardware store.

Works well
I bought the 8x10 for my new rug and it’s even bigger than the rug which is great because you can just cut the excess with some scissors. So far the rug hasn’t moved an inch, it also makes it very comfortable. If you get a large format like an 8x10 it would make your life a lot easier to have someone help you, I find it’s a two people job to make it nice and flat on the floor and then lay your rug over top while keeping it flush to the ground.

For jute backed rug
It holds the rug in place. Don’t use it on a floppy reversible small mat.
