Safe and sturdy!
I get complaints everywhere we go! Sturdy and the size is great, even for chubby cats! You can give your baby time to get used to the carrier before zipping on the top.

good carrier for small cats
I think this carrier is a good alternative to the even more pricey Sleepy Pod. It has some thoughtful features like the strap to hold the mesh door and a vinyl tray under the bed in case there are any accidents. The materials seem sorta so-so, but time will tell if they last. My cats took to it the minute I put it down near them.Pros:design - This is a great way to make it easier for your vet to examine your cat with less stress. All carriers should have removable tops.cat love - Both my cats are loving it. They especially like the bed inside.cost - While this isn't cheap, it's much less expensive than a Sleepy Pod.availability - This product is readily available whereas Sleepy Pod has had a lot of delivery problems. I tried to buy one directly from them and that process ended in a refund. I was happy to find this one instead.Cons:materials - The straps, zipper, and mesh aren't exactly made of premium materials. I'm especially disappointed with the plastic zipper.zipper access - The placement of the zipper makes this very difficult to zip up the first time. Maybe it gets easier with practice.size - One of my cats is a large 18 pounds. She can't stand up in this carrier. That's okay for a short trip but wouldn't work for anything longer.

Not strong enough
My smallest cat was able to take the entire zipper off... and wound up on top of my head while I was driving 80+ down the hwy of i80 in NV. Traveling nurse and I've made this cross country trip 7 times now (with my 2 cats in tow) in 17 months and while I loved the idea of this carrier, I don't like the idea of driving with a cat on my head. Poorly made if a cat can break out of it and I had to throw it away.

Only ONE Drawback noted
Great Product! After first purchase "test" I purchased two more. ONLY change I would suggest to the company is that they find a way to make the base out of a more solid material or find a way to "Coat" the inside with some type of sealant. They do provide a soft plastic liner for the inside, but it is "sewn" together and "leaks" come through the seams and reach the inside of the carrier base. The only way to clean the base is with a garden hose (tough to do during the winter) which does not sanitize completely. Also, with "soft" base, sometimes the carrying straps pull through with my larger 15# pet.My kids DO like the security/comfort of this carrier much better than the plastic crates. My vet jokes that all her staff knows who's pets are visiting when they see these carriers!!

My cats are all over it!
Even before I got it set up, my cats were coming to lay in it, and popping under the lid. It took me minute to figure out how to zip them together, but once I realized how it worked, it was super simple.I love the design, and my cats are clearly in love with it! Which is always the most important thing! The bed is soft and thick and machine washable, just has to be air dried, there's also a clear lining to help protect the carrier, which I'm thrilled about. I have had instances where my cats get scared and pee while we're at the vet. Hopefully, this new carrier will help them not be so scared, though!Still, the liner is a must just in case! The liner is a little bent on the sides, but I just pushed the bed under them, and the cats certainly don't seem to mind!I also love how the little flap has a strap that can hold it up, so you just roll it up, and pin it to the top, and now you're cats can come and go as they please! And the cat currently in the carrier is a rather large cat, so I wasn't entirely sure how well she'd fit in it, but it's actually a really great fit for her!Over all, very pleased with this purchase! Will probably buy a second one, so both of my cats have one!

Love this thing!!
The vets office thought this was the coolest thing ever. They loved this little pod.Anyway, the reason for my review is because the fire alarm went off at my complex and I’ve always had this pod as part of my fire drill. My cat Ofcourse has had this since he was a baby so even for me shoving him in there urgently he didn’t put up much of a fight even with the alarms blaring and he was freaking out. I’m very happy I purchased this 3 years ago especially today. And I still found him snuggling in it this morning. ❤️
