We attached one on the wall in the shower and one next to the toilet - both give mental assurance on safety even though there has been no emergency event - we had our professional contractor do the installation - required drilling through the tile

I purchased this for my elderly mom as we remodeled our bathroom. I read some of the reviews in regard to the round piece coming lose when you grab the bar, so my handyman sealed it, and it does not move anymore. I did have concerns that the screws will come lose but the bars were drilled into the post and sealed and it's not going anywhere. I'm very happy how supportive they are in the wall/tile and how they look in the bathroom.

Easy to install

Anchor arrived scratched.

Once installed, the grab bars are very sturdy. There is a short bolt that attaches the mounting plate to the bar, which makes it very convenient to rotate the plate to locate a stud, then tighten the bolt. Having said that, the hollow wall anchors included do not work well. I drilled a 1/4 hole and pounded in the anchor, only to be frustrated that they popped through the drywall as I began to turn the screws. There is no lip on them to keep them flush with the drywall. Resorted to using other type of anchors as needed. The cover plates are only held on by a ping on the mounting plate. I discovered that you have to twist the covers onto the wall plate, instead of pushing it on, otherwise it will pop off. I wish the instructions were more detailed.

My only complaint is the covers tend not to stay in place.

Appear well made and I have no reason to doubt they are stainless steel. They look fine, but only time will tell how durable the finish is. They sort of look painted, but the seller says they're guaranteed for three years. It's unclear whether that applies to the rails them selves or the finish. Ours have not yet been installed and may ultimately be returned.
