Great product - lives up to expectations
Coming from a PNY GTX 780, this was a massive step forward in gaming.Simple replacement of my 780 - Since the new 1080 requires less voltage than older cards you are almost guaranteed that upgrading from an old GTX will actually LOWER your power consumption. In fact, while my GTX 780 required two external power connections to the card, the 1080 only requires one. Before swapping cards I made sure my Nvidia drivers were all up to date. When I restarted with the new card the resolution was set to something terrible but after a few moments the card was identified and ran perfectly. Then it was just a matter of tweaking my games (i.e. maxing all the settings) for a great experience. Highly recommended if you can afford the price tag. And yes, I realize that I paid more than others for the "Founders edition" which is actually a stock card with no advanced cooling or overclocking but since my old system had the same setup I decided to stick with it.

Great hardware, software is good enough
Great GPU to throw any game at it.The only downside is the Nvidia Experience software, Sometimes the recommended graphics setup for a game are not ideal, Battlefield 1 for instance, O wanted over 100 fps at 1080p but it stayed around 70-80 and was because the game was rendering 1440p.I think if I configured a 1080p 144hz monitor in Nvidia drivers, it should at least know that I want full performance. I'm new to PC gaming and it took me some days to figure out this.It is easy when you know this stuff but Nvidia Experience is about making all of the initial setup easy.

One Star
Not worth this price, go SLI instead or wait for price drop.

Short life
I purchased a PNY video card and in less than 50 days it went bad. I was able to get a replacement from Best Buy. I will see it this one last any longer. If not, it's the last time I will use PNY products.

Game Changer
A quick look at the PNY Founder's Edition GTX 1080:Packaging: You weren't paying for the packaging right? Good because it's as basic as it gets. The card is sandwiched in foam wrapped in a plain black box which is also wrapped in a PNY branded box.Installation: This card is no longer than my old GTX 670 was. Easy fit into the case.Pricing: Yep, it's a Founder's Edition. $699 through Amazon. If I hadn't had a card die, I would have held off for the price to drop. As a reminder, the Founder's Edition is supposed to be available through the life of the product so there's no real rush. This card runs quiet for the applications I use it for (BF4, World of Warcraft). Both are maxxed out and the card produces excellent frame rates (no artifacts or screen lag).WATCH FOR LOW RATINGS BASED ON THE INITIAL SCALPER RESALES!!! I realize people were angry about how scalpers were making ridiculous upcharges. I was angry too but unfortunately you cannot post a review for the seller themselves (that I know of). This card is a game changer.

This card stomps SLI 980s!
[...] Check out the video for my unboxing and review of the card (not in depth but does have FPS from big AAA games)As far as the card, Coming from SLI 980s (non Ti) This card blows them out of the water, I have been able to play on 4K with pretty much everything set at ultra and have no issues. My FPS is actually better with 1 card vs SLI. So to all the haters saying its not worth the price, Look around and find one for MSRP (amazon will have some soon just keep an eye out) it is worth it, Especially if you are needing an upgrade.

The card is as good as promised
The card is as good as promised, and did not fail any test till know. Just I found it disappointing the package did not contain any cables adding some annoying efforts to acquire those cables (Power and screen) elsewhere.
