UPDATE: AUG 2018 - I continue to test the filter(s) to check for replace, and after two years of daily use, tested fine. Would purchase again - 100%.Initial product evaluation was made when received, in high quality packaging, with an "angled" adapter fitting (for the multiple shower head set up) and roll of thread tape provided. Black water came out on initial use from the activated charcoal. This is made in China and does not come with any instructions, but is marked with "in" and "out" labels. States lasts 9 months. Does not restrict flow for my showerhead. After one month of use, and liking results bought a second filter for the second shower. It does extend the conventional showerhead down the length of filter assembly.Prior to install, the water had a slight smell and after the shampoo suds better and no smell. Seems to work as advertised. Seems expensive but if the technology is actually in it that the company claims, then it is worth it to my family. Works like a softener and see an improvement in clean "feel" when using this device. Will attempt to perform a chlorine test on the output and post.Rated 5 star after my first and second week of use, bought a second filter after one month of use.

Excellent, I noticed an immediate difference upon initial use! The water in Phoenixville, PA is very hard and I looked at the annual water report and found that the majority of chemicals and heavy metals came from chlorine, by products of chlorine (trihalomethanes and chloramines), and strontium. I have had issues with itchy dry skin and rashes on my calves for about a year now, which seem to be improving only after day #4 of showers. My skin and hair is smooth and the natural oils do not appear to be stripped as they were. I did not realize that my hot showers were a danger to me until I read about VOCs and how they can also contribute to respiratory problems, allergies, and asthma conditions. Not to mention that chlorine is readily absorbed by the body and a 30 minute shower is akin to drinking a day's worth of chlorinated water! In any case, I highly recommend this product. I will have to try to post pictures of my new shower set up, but it was easy to screw on after applying the teflon tape that was included with the purchase. I purchased a KES stainless steel 8" rainfall shower head and the pressure is not reduced by the filter. Showering is such a pleasurable experience now and I can take a much cooler shower thanks to the negative ions and FIR technology. So many wins here!

I wanted to give some time before I wrote a review. I've had this filter for over 2 months and it has already stopped filtering. Have probably taken only 160 - 10 minute showers. This filter should have worked much longer. The water is back to how it was before I bought it. The biggest problem is how my hair feels after shampooing. It doesn't feel clean and is very difficult to brush through (the filter solved this problem for about 2 months). I have short hair and have never needed conditioner before, until using this water.I gave it 3 stars because I purchased multiple filters (before trying this one) after moving in and every one of them became blocked within one week of use. Those were a complete waste of money. At least this one did not get plugged after one week. I have never lived anywhere with this bad of water. I am purchasing this filter again because for the price, I will gladly pay for a new one every 2 months. Like I said before, at least this one actually filters the water and does not constrict water flow.

I would give this 5 stars, but the filter came without instillation instructions and it's made in China. I prefer made in USA. There were pictures on the box, but it showed a tub faucet instead of shower. With that said, I could tell a difference in my hair, skin AND most importantly my breathing.

On all of the customer review photos that I see the filter is installed directly onto the shower fitting with the shower head / bracket at the bottom of the filter. This causes the shower head to be a lot lower than it would be if the filter were not there (I will post a photo of mine and you should be able to tell what I'm talking about). You can see the filter is at the top of the shower hose (not the side where the shower head is), but below the shower hose holder.The problem that I had with installing the filter this way is that the female threads inside the shower hose fitting were too deep for the male threads on the filter. The result is everything but a watertight seal. For my remedy, I bought a pack of shower head gaskets and inserted 2 gaskets (on top of the one already installed), and tightened everything down. The end result, a watertight, leak-free shower filter. My wife has been very pleased with her soft hair and skin. I'm pretty happy with it too, I can definitely feel the difference.Also, by installing it this way, I didn't need the angle piece and the filter hangs vertically.This filter has my recommendation.

Quick and easy installation. I had no problem putting it on myself without my husband's help. I like this filter because it is NSF certified and it has nano silver to kill bacteria. Many filters only remove chlorine and heavy metals but this Marrinn filter is doing more.

This is an amazing product!! Love this filter!! It leaves my hair silky soft. Previously, after I washed my hair and used the best products, they were still not as soft as now. I also see the difference it makes to my skin. Previously, I suffered from dry skin and all the oils I put on my skin, only gave temporary relief. This filter does not over dry the skin. It is a very nice product. Just make sure, when installing, to use a lot of that white tape. Good luck 😊

We got about 4 showers out of it before it completely crashed our water pressure. It's unusable. Very unhappy with this product.
