Q: We don't have a dryer. How important is it to dry these diapers in the dryer to fluff them up in the beginning?

We don't have a dryer either. I've been using these for 8 mo, with every intention of continuing on till potty training. One of the things I love about these diapers is that they dry super quickly and personally I think they are nice and soft but very easy to fold because they don't get as wrinkled and floppy.

They could work, but prefolds are used for burp cloths more than flat diapers. I've only used them as cloth diapers, but they were pretty absorbent. I would think they would be great as burp cloths! They're very sturdy and well-made. They wash well too. The more you wash them the more absorbent they are.
