Be awere it is made out of ALUMINUM!
This garlic press is chrome like coated ALUMINUM!!! I do not care what is printed on the box. It failed a grinder test! Stainless steel during grinding is producing sparks, this one dose not! It is ALUMINUM!The other thought: why would you coat the stainless steel?

The press is fantastic, the roller sucks…
I bought this pair mostly for the garlic roller. I used to own a baby blue Martha Stewart roller that worked super well but was stained and ugly. So I thought a black one would be perfect. Unfortunately the roller sucks! It doesn't work at all! But the garlic press, wow! It's fantastic! I've owned many garlic presses in the past, even very expensive ones and they have all dossapointed, but this one... impressive! It's neat, clean, easy to use and wastes little garlic. I highly recommend this purchase for the press alone.

Great garlic press.
I have been trying to find a great garlic press. I am now on the fourth one, and this one is it! It is a great garlic press, easy to use and easy to clean, with no mess left behind. The surface of the ram that squeezes the garlic through the holes has short prongs on it that push almost all the garlic through the plate and clears the holes. Once you can't get any more through, open the press and use a dull knife or other object to gather the remaining paper-thin layer of garlic into a heap, then squeeze it again. You will get most of that pressed through the holes, with virtually nothing left.

Overall a good press
I purchased this because my old garlic press was made of metal that turned the crushed garlic grey, and stainless steel is a much less toxic option. Other good things about this press are: the larger cavity which allows more food to be crushed at a time; less garlic is left inside the cavity after pressing. The slight niggle is that the handles are a little bit short, and very slippery. They're a good shape, but hard to get a grip on, especially when your hands may be slightly damp from food prep.

Great product!
High quality stainless steel. Very satisfied. Easy to clean.Update on 4/17/2017After 6 months of regular use, one of the garlic press holes broke. I didn't abuse the press and it seems like reasonably good quality. However, a picture is worth more than a thousand words.

Best garlic press
Best garlic press I've ever owned. Its one piece construction with no seams makes it super easy to clean. Just swish it in a bowl of water or if necessary use a toothbrush to clean in a few seconds. No crevasses for garlic to get into. Great product. The garlic peeler thingy is not as sturdy as the one I've previously owned from WS (which was very expensive), but it was adequate to get the job done.

Decent Garlic Press
Okay not as good as the Cutco version I had which pretty much was clip, crunch, and smoosh. This one takes a bit more effort, and does not produce quite the results that I loved about my other garlic press.

... an expert on garlic presses but this is a great press. It cleans so easily just running it ...
I'm not an expert on garlic presses but this is a great press. It cleans so easily just running it under the faucet too. You'll love it. Stainless steel is definitely the way to go. I also use it to crush ginger root and use the juice in my tea concoction.UPDATE: Well it's been one year since I bought this and today it broke. Was pressing a small piece of ginger and the metal between the holes split about 3/4 inch across. Not happy. Will buy something with a lifetime guarantee.
