Very disappointed with this opener
Two things went very wrong with this item: the packaging and a squeaky product.The packaging: Incredibly beat up. The package that it came in looks like it has water damage. It's falling apart and seems like it's old. Take a look at the pictures. That's how it came in the mail.The product: It lets out an awful squeak every time you lift the lever. It's super annoying and makes the opener seem very cheap. It also came with some gunk on the opener (see photos).I wanted to give this as a Christmas gift. There's no way I would give this out to anyone.

While the opener works with ease, I was very disappointed with the broken down and torn box the items came in. I was planning on giving it as a gift, however I would have to place it in something much less embarrassing, so it doesn't look like I am re-gifting. Will probably just keep for myself.

Ordered this for a young couple who love wine for their wedding gift. It was beautifully packaged and appears to be a very high end wine opener. The stainless steel with black design is very elegant looking and can be used at any fancy occasion. It is very sturdy and compact for use in any environment. This set is really beautiful.

These will be used in my home as I like a glass of wine in the evening
These work very well. Clamp it around the neck, lower the corkscrew into the cork using the lever and then simply raise it,,,out comes the cork. These will be used in my home as I like a glass of wine in the evening. Works very well.

Did not work smoothly and did not hold up
This was a disappointment from the start. It never worked smoothly and now is not working at all. It’s about 3 years old.
