Anker iPhone 7 Screen Protector, Tempered Glass Screen Protector

Have been using this screen on my new iPhone 7 for about 3 weeks. It's great:- Surprisingly easy to apply, comparing to my earlier experiences of Samsung Galaxy S4 protective films. I wonder if it's because it's stiff glass, instead of wavy plastics. The application tapes included in the package are essential in this process. They have the right level of stickiness to hold the phone and screen in place but not leaving any marks and not hard to peel off if you have to reposition the tapes.- There's still a tiny hair line like bubble at the top right corner. I guess it will stay. But the rest is clear and I didn't have to do much to clear any bubbles during application.- There is a gap between the screen and the case, but dust hasn't accumulated there in my phone. Although, I hope Anker will make another version of this product without a gap. I'd buy it again just to be sure of no dust collecting in the gap.- The cut is precise, literally. At first it looked to me a sliver too narrow but it was only a visual illusion, probably due to the fact that glass cannot be as thin as plastic film.- I ordered this because I have purchased couple Anker batteries and am very happy with them. I'm also happy with this screen protector.

After having trouble with another brand that makes screen protectors I found myself lost in despair! There are so many choices online and I didn't want to just order from anyone. When I think of Anker I always think batteries, cables, usb ports, etc. So I reluctantly typed Anker screen protector and what do you know they make so much more than I thought. I was pleasantly surprised with the presentation of this screen protector upon delivery. It comes in a thick book cover like box with all the usual extras. You will only get one piece of glass, but it's a sturdy piece of glass! The other brands have shifted to these ultra thin almost plastic feeling screens.Installing screen protectors on your own, especially glass, takes tons of patience. These reviews that cry afoul are usually due to a rushed job (sorry not sorry to say it). I always take my time with glass screens and the results are rewarding. I don't know the protection amount these will give yet because I just got them, but I always update reviews after good use, as well as experience with a first fatal drop (please no). That being said, this is a very nice piece of glass and installation was standard. It's not edge to edge and this is because of the curved iPhone face. The glass is the width of your display which is a bit harder to put on as opposed to an iPhone 5s where the entire face of the phone is flat. I unfortunately, didn't get it exactly perfect so the end result is this rainbow effect on the left edge of the screen, but I'm not crying about it (although I wish I could retry).Anker came to the rescue on this one, I love the quality of the glass! I will update later on and let you know how it goes.TIPS FOR INSTALLATION:* Use nitrile or latex gloves when handling phone and screen.* Turn hot water on in shower and let steam pull dust out of air. This is ideal after you shower to conserve water.* If placement was incorrect use a razor blade and slowly pull protector up and away from phone.* Take your time if you want the best alignment!

I ordered this while at the Verizon store buying my new phone based off the fact I used the same brand on my iphone 5 and I have been impressed with most of the other Anker products I have bought over the past few years. Like other reviews state the glass is too narrow and does not cover the edges of the screen. I was very dissapointed considering the fact I could not even tell this same brand on my iphone 5 was even there. After some research I realize this is a problem for many of these iphone 7 screen protectors due to the curved edge of the glass. Even still though this is just too small. I wasted my money on two of these for both mine and my wifes phone which have bee replace now with the Mothca Edge to Edge protectors that I am much happier with.Update: After posting this review Anker customer service contacted me and offered me two brand new updated screen protectors free of charge. I removed my old Mothca edge to edge protector that I am no longer happy with due to the corners beginning to peel up from my case. I applied the new Anker protector and while it still is flawed in my opinion I'll probably keep this one on. I still think it's too narrow, there is no room whatsoever for mistake if you want it to cover your screen perfectly. I still think it could be a mm larger all around. The sensor cutout on the top is incorrect, there are two sensors on the iphone 7 and only one on the protector. The other sensor is partially covered with the glass. I have no idea if this affects any functionality but it should be correct, especially if this is the updated version. I bump my review up a star because I am very happy the company contacted me and stands behind there product and were willing to make sure that I am happy. Still came up short, hopefully they will see my comments and fix it once and for all.

I'm usually a fan of Anker products, but this screen protector fundamentally misses the mark. As others here have said, the screen protector is too narrow and doesn't even cover the whole LCD. There's just no excuse for this.Update: Anker contacted me to send me a new screen protector that they said would fit, which I thought was awesome. Then they sent me a new screen protector that ... wait for it ... was exactly the same as the old one!!! After I pointed out it looked exactly the same and fit over the old one exactly the same, they told me it was bigger. So I went ahead and installed it. Guess what, still doesn't fit.I sent them a new photo and they replied telling me I somehow misaligned it. Yeah, so it's not perfect, but if the LCD is showing on both sides of the protector does it really matter? I'm lowering my review to one star for their tech support wasting my time so thoroughly.
