Epic MilitariaAuthentic British Army Wool Berets

My Ranger beret had seen better days and this looked like a great replacement. It is fully lined, fits as expected and even has a reinforced strip where your flash or badge is attached. However I had to return it because it did not meet Army Ranger specifications. Sadly quality tan berets are difficult to find.

There’s nothing really to dislike about these berets! The material quality and construction are first rate! The lining is attractive, though as we did in the military we would cut out the lining to achieve a more form fitting drape! But on this one I ordered the lining is so nice I couldn’t bring myself to cut it out, yet it still drapes quite nicely! The wool is very fine and a tighter nap than most other makes of berets - and, I would know I own a couple of dozen berets from militaries from all over the world, and British military grade are the best! Better than U.S., better than Israeli, better than French, to mention a few!

This beret is first class. Beret fits perfectly. Measured head prior to ordering. The workmanship and styling are first rate, and the lining is quite attractive. Delivery was rather prompt considering it is an ocean away. I would highly recommend this product.

Have wanted to acquire one or more Military Berets for years. For work in the Florida Heat and Sun, I have vented hats and caps. The Beret is ok for general wear in a cooler climate, especially. I purchased mine as I wanted head gear that was "different", sometimes to wear out doors, and often to wear traveling in the car or truck in the air conditioning, and inside air conditioned buildings, such as Malls libraries and other venues. The quality of the British Military berets is outstanding. One can shape them to the desired common Beret shape using dampness or water I understand. The British beret is a lighter wool and shapes easily. I like the idea of the various colors for specific unit types that the British have adopted. I've ordered the Brown, & the Green Royal Marines Beret. I also enjoy wearing some military style uniforms or uniform type clothing and the Berets go well with that clothing. I will order the Dark Green "Rifles" Beret Next, as I am a total supporter of the 2nd Amendment and Bill of Rights. These Berets are superb head gear.

Love the beret which seems to be of very good quality.I especially love the small crown design which is very hard to find otherwise.The only reason for giving it 4 stars is the sizing issue. I normally wear a 7.25" which they list as being 58 cm. However, after reading the reviews I decided to order a 60 cm (listed as 7.50") being two sizes larger and am glad I did because it fits me fine.Please, note that the beret needs to be shaped. This is just how these types of berets come and is quite easy using water. My suggestion is to keep the beret on while shapping it as the leather band (which I inadvertantly got wet) seems to want to shrink a bit and needed some streaching to maintain its size. Also by having it on you can get the beret form fitted to your head nicely.All in all I am very happy with my purchase and in fact have ordered another one.

As a former Air Force Security Police member, I ordered this beret in a fit of nostalgia. Having served in the UK, that seemed like the logical place for it to come from. (Actually, after looking at the other berets offered, this appeared to fit my needs. )After ordering, I was informed that I would receive it between September 3-10. It was shipped August 10 and I received it August 15!The beret that I received is of the highest quality! Made from heavy wood with a leather band, it is much better than the one issued to me in the Air Force. The liner is top notch, with the warrants from the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.I followed the advice of other reviews and ordered a 7 1/2, when I normally take a 7 1/4. The fit is perfect.This beret is the British pattern, with no large american style badge tab. There is, however, a reinforcement for attaching a beret pin.I very highly recommended this beret.

Excellent quality, and craftsmanship. I love the beret, and wear it most days during these winter months. I will say that the crown is quite small, and the sizing is a bit tight. I am guessing that the maker's 7 5/8 size is a bit smaller than what I am accustomed to. I usually wear a 7 1/2 or 7 5/8, depending on the hat. I ordered the 7 5/8 size, and it fits, but just barely. It is a tight fit. If I order another, I guess that I will go for the 7 3/4 size. I guess that I have a fat head. Anyway. The quality is excellent, and it was shipped on schedule - just order a size up from what you normally wear.

I used to wear a beret when I was young, but could never find a similar one until I stumbled across this one. This is a well made product, it fit perfectly, and I love the satin lining. Plus it arrived quicker than expected despite shipping from England.

Strong materials, well made. One caveat for collectors of militaria. I do not think this is a genuine British army issue but that doesn't take away from its good value for money.

lost my old one.

Always had 57 when i served, this is tight so may need a 58, it stays on, just, but for a comfy feel I'd need a bigger one.
