Can these paints be used on wood and if so can they be sealed with polyurethane for outdoor signs?

Yes, the Tulip Fabric Paints will work very well on wood especially if the wood is not already painted or varnished (plain unfinished wood). The paints can be sealed over with polyurethane for outdoor signs. Allow the Tulip Fabric Paints at least 72 hours to dry though before sealing. Keep in mind though that a lot of polyurethane sealers will turn yellow over time but if you use a water-based polyurethane, it will be less likely to yellow than an oil based polyurethane. There is a product available called Minwax Polycrylic that is a water-based polyurethane that might work well.
