if one goes bad, you'll hear from me
These are about 5 times more expensive and the halogens that you can buy from Phillip. However, I bought 15 of them to replace all the halogens lights at my mom's shop. Took me a while to convince her to replace them for LED ever since I replaced the first one for her. I immediately knew reason why she complained that the halogen bulbs die out too quick. She also had replaced 4 track lighting head herself within 18 months. It's the heat generated from these bulbs. They were so hot, I had to wait for a for couple minutes and use paper tower to remove them. The heat can burn the inside of the bulb lighting head and eventually damage the wire connector, a very possible fire hazard. As for the cost, she spent, 15 x 50w x 9hrs/day x 30 days x $.054/kw = $10.94/month, electricity for halogens. These led bulbs generate little heat, require next to zero maintenance during their lifespan, and totally cost $1.53/month instead of $10.94/month. It will only take 7 months for her to break even, plus a bonus of not having a 55 year old lady climbing the stair to replace the bulbs, while I'm away, because my lazy ass relatives won't do it.*These 5 stars are not permanent. if one goes bad, you'll hear from me.

Pleasantly Surprised
As a lighting engineer with over 20 years experience I am quite pleased with both the light output and color of these LEDs. However, please be aware that these bulbs are slightly longer (from pin base to face of lamp) than a standard halogen MR16. This prevented me from utilizing the bulb locking mechanism on my lamps. However, the bulbs are well represented/described.

Yes, they flicker when dimmed. Sigh. The search continues for ones that don't.
Bought 5 of these to swap out in our bathroom down-lights, but despite saying 'dimmable' guess what: they flicker when dimmed. The sort of flicker that an epileptic would not want to be near. As with all LED lights, the Achilles heel is flickering when dimmed. It *might* have something to do with my/your dimmer/transformer, as a few lucky people do not have issues, though most definitely do. The search continues for a non flickering dimmable Halogen replacement.Wish I'd read more reviews, but I rushed this purchase and here we are. Its such a bother to install/deinstall them, I might just leave it. Otherwise... like many say clearly cooler than the 3000k more like 3500 or 4000, not 'daylight' but definitely cooler than the halogens they replace. If you want a really warm light, then: not these. But they are bright and good otherwise.

does not fit .
I ordered these bulbs using the information on the package that the bulbs that fit my lighting fixture came in. When I just today opened these bulbs to replace I found the prongs are different from the ones my fixtures take. I don't know what the product I received is supposed to work with but I just wasted my money expecting to receive the same Item I ordered and not checking them out immediately. It's to late to get a refund so I just have to eat the cost. There is nothing to hold the bulb in the fixture. Just straight prongs. I took them to my hardware store to ask about how to make these work and was told they had never seen these bulbs before. What do they fit?

Slight difference in height can create problems
These bulbs seemed to work well. Good color and brightness. But the height difference (first picture) created some problems for me. The second picture is of a halogen bulb (note the black ring sits flush). The third picture shows the Bioluz LED's additional height keeping the ring from sitting flush. Also, when tried in other ceiling mounts, the shape of the Bioluz LED kept the lens and mounting ring from being able to click back properly into place.

Finally some LED MR16s working with my WAC JHT-809
These LED MR16s finally work with our WAC JHT-809 track lighting heads we have had for 10+ years. We have 12 of them and at $40/head I was looking for some LEDs that put enough load on the transformer for the transformer to actually work. The latest version of the JHT-809 claims to need only 1W but I am sure our old ones have a higher load requirement. All the LED MR16s we tried over the years - and we did try 6 or 7 different manufacturers/models so far - did not light up at all when installed in the track heads. These do light up and can be dimmed reasonably well on top of it.They also fit into the track head - another problem we had with some of the models we tried. You have to leave the glass off but the retainer clip fits on top of these. The light produced by the LEDs is OK. There are some noticeable blue spots in the light projected onto a white wall but we can live with that.Only replaced three so far and letting them "soak" but ordered the larger set with 10 to be prepared for switching out the rest of the lights. Will update here if something changes.

Tried halogen-replacement bulbs and been disappointed? Try these!
After some disappointments with this type of halogen lamp replacement I decided to try these. They are excellent! The color temperature is consistent across packs (I needed two) and with their other LED bulbs. The room also has a large ceiling fan with conventional screw bulb sockets and Bioluz led bulbs work well in both roles and give a matched color temperature from dim to daylight-bright.The increase in available illumination with these vs. the original Halogen lights is incredible and makes the room much more useful. They dim well using (magnetic) Lutron dimmers with the original low voltage transformers from full power to almost no light. There is some small amount of humming, but it seems unchanged from the original halogen bulbs, so it's likely the transformers.

Very happy with the purchase
We replaced all the halogens and CFLs at our house with LEDs. The difference is amazing: We use Photovoltaics (solar power) to generate our electricity and now we have surplus. As to the Bioluz LEDs, they're quiet, lighter in color (to our pleasant surprise) than we expected from 3000K, and dim with no problem. We have 5000K LEDs (1600 lumen) in the same area and they look fine together. We chose Bioluz based on the reviews that it offers quality products, a good customer service, and a solid warranty. We also like the way they look. If you're thinking about changing to LEDs, we encourage you to do so because they can save so much energy. We recommend Bioluz for MR16 replacements because of its quality and warranty service. Very happy with the purchase.

as expected
used in my kitchen over sink bridge - replacing quartz light - normal dimming capacity with luthron switches. As you know every LED dimming differs as you can not get dimming below a certain minimum

Buenísimas
Otras marcas no me funcionaron pero estas, en cambio, super bien. Apenas llevo 10 dias con ellas, pero estoy encantada.
