SunJel Fume-free Firespace Gel Fuel Canister, Pure Gel, 24-Pack

I contacted the Sunjel company myself, and I must say it was a very rewarding experience. What Amazon could not figure out, the customer service lady Kami and the president (Steve) of the company did. When I got off the phone I was very, very happy to know that the president of Sunjel cared enough (out of his busy schedule) to take the time to contact. I have been using other gel fuel and was very dissatisfied. Sunjel fuel is GREAT, NO FURM, NO ORDORS just a wonderful experience and of cause the best price on the internet. I would from my experience advise any an everyone to buy this brand. You will not be sorry plus you will save a tremendous amount of money over the months of usage. Previous today I am retracting my message because I did not get the assistance that I should have receive when I called an spoke with a rep. at amazon. I guest this is what happens when you hire during the holiday season, people who really do not care about the customers. When I got off the phone with Amazon I could have chew a box of nails. Again, my experience with Sunjel after calling them was extraordinary!Thank you Steve you now have a customer for life!

I was reluctant to order this brand seeing I never heard of it before. It burns almost to the very end of the can and dosen't have any bad fumes like the leading brand.You can actually pour the little that's left into a new can and it will burn nicely. The only negatives were that when taking off the lid the lip of the can dosen't quite overlap enough and makes it a little more difficult to remove.I would definetly recomend this brand to anyone and will be buying more in the future.Please keep up the great quality of this product

Better than Real Flame and cheaper. They burn the same and last the same amount of time. I burned both at the exact same time to prove it. This gel can doesn’t have a label on the outside which is great because the label just burns up and leaves a mess. I wonder why it’s sooo much cheaper when they do the exact same thing but this one leaves no mess of the burnt label. I’m not buying Real Flame again

I’ve purchased several brands of gel fuel for my fireplace. This is a great value for the money vs other brands - ordering through subscribe and save qualified me for an additional 5%. Free shipping/Prime option makes it cost effective since the box is heavy and would cost quite a bit to ship otherwise - maybe to a cost prohibitive level. I like this particular brand because it doesn’t have labels on the sides of the can (you have to remove paper labels of other brands because they’ll catch fire and burn when the can gets hot). Having only a label on the lid saves time, as the lid isn’t used when burning the fuel therefore no need to remove the label.On the not so good side, this brand doesn’t “crackle” as much as others and has a slightly unpleasant smell when the can is nearly burned out. I wouldn’t call it offensive and it hasn’t caused me to stop using the brand, but the first time I used this vs other brands I did notice it.If this and Real Flame were offered at the same price, I’d buy Real Flame. But the significant cost difference causes me to choose this brand instead.

I have ordered the SunJel from other vendors in the past for my gel fireplace. However, I was so happy with the product I got here that I won't be buying from others. Some of the reasons are: virtually no smell from the gel fuel. I know SunJel brand is supposed to be good about this but I have still gotten some from others that I had to open the windows and vent the air (kinda defeats the whole cozy, warm experience). Not with this vendor. I did shake the cans well like you are supposed to do before opening/lighting. Also, I loved that you didn't have a big label on the outside of the cans which always has to be removed first. The flames were beautiful, sounded realistic, and lasted about 2 1/2 hours.

I think the Sun Jel fireplace gel I received was old. I say this because I had bought the Real Flame fireplace gel and had saved a couple of cans for nealy a year and the gel had turned watery and did not burn as well and at the end, and there was gel that would not burn. This is exactly what I experienced with my new delivery of the Sun Jel fireplace gel. It is watery, produced a smaller and bluer flame, and burnt out before the gel was consumed. I did stir the gel to provide oxogen and then I poured what was left from two cans into one in order to try to use it all. Doing this, I was able to use the rest of it. So, all in all, I believe the case of Sun Jel I received was old, and therefore, has these problems. I believe new Sun Jel would burn properly, as other reviewers had written in the past. It is true that the Real Flame gel produces an odor, but a nice big, crackling flame, BUT I wanted to avoid the odor, so I tried the Sun Jel. The Sun Jel does not appear to have an odor, so I think if it were new, it would be fine. I do wonder if it would produce a large flame, like the Real Flame gel does. Some reviewers have said that it doesn't. So, it comes down to odor verses size of flame. On the box which my Sun Jel came from, the return address is: Aaron Moonlight Marketing Group. So, perhaps, if we see that an order of fireplace gel is going to come from them, we might not order it, as I am certain this is just an old case of fire gel. Age matters!

Pretty good product for the money. Doesn't last as long as the label claims. Sounds like a real cracklin fire and does heat up a small room. Kinda messy though when opening a new can, but at least it doesn't rev up your electricity bill. Good for only very small rooms and mostly for decoration only.

Great replacement for wood burning fire places: I bought this because I have a fireplace, but do not like to clean up the mess from burning wood, since I use infrequently. A friend suggested I buy ceramic logs and use the gel. I set up the logs, used two canisters and it looked and burned like a real fire! Easy to open, start the flame and once it burns out in about four hours, just put the lid back on. Flames reach at least 6 to 8 inches and has the sound of real wood burning.
