Hello, I have the large card and the 12x12 and I love them both. You could use the 12x12 for cards cause the magnets will hold your paper. Have fun, and just play around with it first, it is great.

It doesn't make any difference what size project you are making using the 12x12 MISTI - small pieces of paper fit fine in the corner. If all you do are small projects, like cards, there is a smaller MISTI for that. I love the largest one because I am a 12x12 scrapbooker.

No, this Misty does not have metal hinges. All plastic. I love my Misty and use it to make all my cards. Have fun with your!!
