Q: What is the minimum desk thickness that this supports? Does the clamp close "all the way" so that it will accomodate glass desktops?

I have this clamped to a glass desktop that's 0.25" thick, and there are still more threads available to close it further than a quarter inch. It looks like it would close completely to me.
