Best bang for you're buck
As a longtime carpenter in doing all custom built homes. I've had pls, dewalt and lica lasers. I bought this makita laser for my second crew as we have multiple large homes we are doing ceiling work and trim in. It has very powerful green laser the 12volt battery has plenty of life to last the day plus are much more reasonably priced. The case it came in had plenty of room for extra accessories and good solid storage. Absolutely happy with the price and quality of the tool.

Lasers are a great tool especially when working alone
work great, I use it for kitchens, pictures, closets, anything I need a level line for. Not so good outside I also wish there was an 18v option instead of 12v

Excellent quality
Used outside for fence posts repair. Was not super bright but it was bright enough that I could check all the posts along my side fence. I recommend it. Seems to be built and/or engineered with quality.

Best laser i have ever used.
Best laser i have ever used that wasn't a rotary or grading laser. Only gripe is the magnetic wall plate. that thing sucks unless you hang it on screw, however they laser is worth it's weight in gold. Being able to use the lock function while the lazer is on has come in handy too.

Great level, fair price.
I’ve used it a few times and it’s been great so far. I already have a number of the 12v max tools so the tool only was perfect.The included case is nice, and even the “tool only” option comes with everything needed but tge battery.

Flaky out of the box and now inoperable
I purchased this just over a year ago. I’m a general contractor and needed a third laser for a particular project. At first it worked well … for about a month. Then it started having intermittent failure to emit laser light in one or two planes. Then it would work again. Now it’s not working at all — just a momentary line in one plane when the on button is pressed.I’m very disappointed with both the tool. I shall attempt to get a warranty replacement/repair, and if they honor their product warranty and it works well, I’ll update this review. Otherwise, buy a Spectra or DeWalt (both of mine have held up for many years.
