Q: Hi, if I go for stone grate will this effect the flow of water going into the drain?

No, it has a large waste trap so the flow of waste water is pretty good

if you do not suspend it it would be as much as the floor can take?

I installed it in a home I rented out from memory I think there was black where the tray drains but that it’s covered by a white top so the tray is entirely while when fitted
