Rude customer service people, okay but unnecessarily expensive product
Update: this product keeps disconnecting from our WiFi making it impossible to reliably use. For instance, my daughter is finally napping in her crib right now but I tried to access the camera on my cell phone and I can’t because the.m camera is disconnected.I haven’t used this product very often yet but it seems to do the job okay, not sure it is worth the price though. Video quality is good. Sometimes WiFi cuts out. We haven’t used it but a couple of times because our baby isn’t sleeping in her room yet. The lights feature is uglier than I had hoped and the music/sound selection is limited. The temperature is never correct. I would say that I am not very impressed with the product and would not buy it again. Also I would not recommend it given the price and features.I received a phone call today requesting that I write a review. The caller was extremely rude. When I told him that I hadn’t used the product much and did not feel ready to write a review he said “You have had it for three months. You must have used it.” I am not sure if this person doesn’t understand that people probably buy this product before their baby is born and thus may not use it immediately. Also, if you want someone to write a review you shouldn’t be rude to them on the phone. His tone was rude throughout the conversation, even before he made the comment above.Again, as I said above, I will not recommend this product to anyone and the fact that this person was so rude has made it even less likely for me to recommend it and more likely to tell people not to order it.

Great hardware horrible software.
Worked for about an hour.Everything was going fine. I decided to put on the rain forest music for the kid and turned my phone off. With the screen off the music started playing through my phone, not through the camera and then the app, but actually through the phone itself (no music was coming from the camera). I turned it back on and noticed I was connected to three versions of the camera. We only have the one camera. None of the connections would actually connect. So the music was playing the whole time and no video feed. I turned off the camera and turned it back on but then the app wouldn't connect. I uninstalled and re-installed the app, as well as reset the camera and I still wasn't able to make a connection.Really disappointed the app failed like it did. This camera is excellent hardware, but the software is awful. I suppose they should have paid their developers a little better or hired a QA tester.Returning and will be trying a different brand

Customer service requested a 5 star rating when sending me a new unit because the plastic on the neck snapped. To be fair, their customer service is good and prompt. Please see below for my initial review of the unit which still stands.After using this baby monitor for about a month, I'd say it's pretty good. If each function worked perfectly, it would be awesome. However, the software is clunky, and the hardware a bit cheap.First of all, the material is light enough that the whole unit glows a little red. The projector varies in brightness and one of the lights flickers on and off in our unit- sometimes. That part might coincide with the "movement" which just consists of different parts of the view turning on and off, and sometimes we can't get it to stop. The buttons are a bit unclear and only work sometimes. On the positive side, the camera is high quality. When the projection is static, we like that it's dull enough not to be noticeable with eyes closed but bright enough to enable seeing our girl in the dark (we sleep in the same room as our little one).The setup was pretty clunky and once it's up, sometimes it need a reset to connect. But when it does connect, I like that I can see enough detail to tell that my baby is breathing with the rise and fall of her belly. The music feature is nice. The feature where you can talk through the camera also only works sometimes and has required a reset to work. The software buttons are confusing to use for music and lights with the movement function (so you need to press in some order? I've tried many to get the light movement to turn off, for example, or to keep the music playing for longer than 15 minutes). If you turn it to landscape mode, you can't access many of the buttons.So yes, there are some issues. The build could be better- hardware, software, and the holababy website. But it's a good camera, and I could love it if they improve the details.Picture is of the camera in a dark room without the night light... You can see the red glow.
