HK-796SL-MC MT2065-Brk Fixed Blade Orange Paracord

I decided to knock a star off as the design was pointed out as being heavily influenced by the ZT 0777 / Microtech Matrix look, which I didn't know when purchasing.I started buying MTech fixed blades a while ago to practice regrinds on my 1x30" and other mod work. So far, they have all felt like solid values considering the low price points.On this one I removed the paracord and did a some hand sanding on the scales to round out all the rough edges, which greatly improved the comfort of the handles. Next, I raised/flattened the primary grind and thinned to ~.01" behind the edge. I really like the shallow belly on the relatively long 4.75" blade. It has been great for utility work around the house and absolutely sails through cardboard now when breaking down boxes, etc.The paracord weave through the handles didn't do much for me, but I figured all the holes would effectively lighten the tang and improve the balance of the knife. I found this to be the case, it is fairly light in hand for its size and less handle heavy than the other sub 5" bladed MTechs I have. Happy I picked this one up.
