Easy and precise monitor placement
The biggest challenge I had when looking for a monitor stand was to find one that would deal with the lip on my desk. I decided to give this one a try and it has worked out really well. It takes the right amount of effort to move and adjust the screen and it stays where I put it. It has cable channels, if you choose to use them, but some parts snap on and some parts are screwed on, so the convenience isn't ideal. However, if that was my only negative, then I'm deciding I'm satisfied.I've been using this for a few months now and I am still pleased.

So nice, I brought it twice
This monitor arm is excellent, well packaged, smooth operating, easy to set up with option for edge and through hole mounting and has nice adjustment for the thickness of the mounting surface as well as tension adjustment. It included nice cable management features and a couple of USB cables. I brought another to set up a station for my wife to work from home and I couldn't be more satisfied with the product.

Read the instructions
This a great addition for those need their monitors at a certain height level. The hardest thing about installing these is the routing of the cables for the USB ports .thos could really be improved but it does work okay as is. The next problem really isn't a problem but more about reading the instructions. There is a + and - symbols on the arm which allows you adjust the tension on the arm. This allows you to adjust the height of the monitor. Without reading the small print in the instructions you would think that + would mean more tension and thus you would be able to make the monitor hover between top and bottom levels. WRONG it is the opposite in order to allow for this function to work you must release the tension on the spring with the - symbol. This allows your monitor to be set at the height you want. So if your monitor has only two positions top and bottom then you need to release spring tension not add it.

A very good monitor desk mount at a VERY reasonable price
We moved, and in the new computer room there is no convenient wall on which to attach my old monitor mount, so I started looking and found this one. So far I like it a lot, and if it weren't for one small (nit-picking?) exception, I'd give it 5 stars, not 4.It arrived on time, with no shipping damage, and in perfect condition (good job, Amazon) and I immediately opened and then installed it.I ordered the all-black version not the one with black inserts on white, and I like the way it looks. It doesn't match the photo in the web page exactly because there is no white logo on the side of the arm, and instead there are two small yellow logos, and IMHO it looks better than the one in the picture. (I saw that someone else complained about that fact, and honestly to me it is no big deal. I'm fairly picky, and this issue doesn't bother me at all, especially since I can't see the arm or the logos at all when I'm on the computer. There is one appearance-related issue and it is the reason I gave this monitor stand 4 stars instead of 5. The description on the web page says, "Integrated cable management feature conceals and routes cables under arm, provide clean ,neat and clutter-free appearance." There is a problem with that statement, however because the cables I use do NOT fit in the provided cable paths because they are a little larger than typical low-end cables. I chose this monitor stand over a similar one because this one had integrated cable management and the other one didn't. Hence I dinged the desk mount one star. (It doesn't really bother me; however, the description should be corrected or the plastic pieces should be made slightly larger..)Overall I like this desk-mount a lot and it is much better then the wall-mount monitor stand I had been using.PROs:-> The setup was very easy and took only a few minutes (at the moment I'm using the edge installation, but this weekend I'll be taking the time to switch to the grommet method so that the desk can have nothing protruding beyond its edge.)-> The tilt feature is wonderful. When I rotate the monitor, putting it into "portrait" mode rather than the normal "landscape" mode, it is nice to be able to tilt the monitor so that the distances from my eyes to the bottom and top of the screen are the same.-> The rotation feature is great since I have to look at some displays in "portrait" mode, and I've already used it that way several times.-> The adjustability of the monitor desk mount is excellent - that is, I've been able to use it on my desk (which adjusts as to height) both in a "normal" (sitting in a chair at my desk) or "standing" (yes, standing with the desktop raised appropriately) mode, and I haven't had any problems whatsoever. Using it the monitor can tilt, swivel and even rotate without any problems and no matter what position I put it in, despite the fact that the monitor weighs just under 16 pounds, its position is rock steady.-> Finally, my wife just commented that it looks "nice" (if that's important to you).CONS:-> My monitor cable and power cable will not fit together in the provided "cable management" channels because they're on the thick side (and no, I can't switch to skinnier cables). I DID test with typical (read "cheap") cables like the ones which come with most monitors, and they fit perfectly, so unless you have a high end monitor and cables, this probably won't be an issue for you.Overall even though I gave it only 4 stars, I would recommend this monitor desk stand to anyone needing one (and if you DON'T think you need one, consider whether you could use the extra desk space which removing the monitor's base from your desk would give you: you might change your mind.I would also buy it again, and I think the price was VERY reasonable

It is perfect for this
I repurposed this mount to use in my Diamond Painting hobby! It is perfect for this! I attached a large tabletop easel to the monitor mount. I set the spring tensions to easy bend/movement as the easel is lightweight. I purchased this one due to the 25.3" forward reach it has. This means I can have it attached to my desk, sit back in my office chair with my feet up in on an ottoman and do my diamond paintings in comfort without neck strain. I can pull it right to me or push it back out of the way when not using it. I just bought 1/2"long wood screws and used the 75mm VESA holes to hand screw the monitor mount to the back of the easel. (the easel is 20"x30" and is found online or in craft stores). Just lighten up the spring tension to make this mount easy to move around in the direction you want it to move! - Mount is heavy duty and perfect for what I am using it for! If I ever stop doing diamond paintings then I will put my monitor on it and mount it to the back of my desk!

Worth every penny!
Well made! In fact, it holds my LG 29-inch ultra-wide monitor perfectly. Also, the materials are sturdy and built to last. Lastly, I am able to rotate, raise and twist my monitor into any position that I deem comfortable for viewing. The screen will not drop as the arm is very sturdy. Simply put, this is a quality product. I definitely recommend this product!
