Bought one on 2020, last 5 years

These micro switches were easy to install several years ago in Kenmore microwave oven as the original switches failed after six years, they lasted 7 years and ended replacing all three switches in March 2025, microwave oven is fully operational as of April 2025.

This part was a direct replacement for my Kenmore Elite microwave model 790.80333310. It allowed me to repair my expensive microwave for less than a lot less than it would cost to replace the entire unit. I have a spare switch if I need this part again because there were two switches supplied for one low price. The OEM was charging over three times the cost paid for two switches to purchase one of the same part. It shipped quicky to allow me to restore my microwave with little delay. You don't realize how much you use your microwave until you don't have it available. The replacement of this door switch was the fix for the microwave tripping the breaker and blowing the fuse.

It looks good and very responsive when pressing the switch point.But when trying to replace the existing one in the microwave oven , it is too hard to push in.Comparing this with old one, I found the connecting metal is too thick.If you push too hard, it could break something. The solution I tried is to use the old switch to wiggle the connecting point to make it wider to allow the new switch in. It is still not very easy, but workable if proceed slowly.

The switch fit perfectly to replace a cutoff switch on a space heater. The switch shuts off the heater if it would tip over.

I work for Geek Squad and repair appliances and much more. My own Microwave broke and it came with my house. It was out of warranty and I didn't want to wait for parts. My wife thinks I am the most amazing Husband now because we didn't have to buy another. Knowing me, I would have upgraded and spent more. Best Money I've ever spent.

The switch fit perfectly into my 3 year old LG microwave. For $8 and change, I had it in and running within 30 minutes of receiving it from Amazon and saved many dollars for "professional" repair or possible replacement. I bought the switch purely on the basis of photos and description of function (normally open) as seen on the website.I have a tip for microwave users. Stop the microwave using the Pause/Clear button rather than just opening the door while it is running. This will prevent this switch breaking contact while conducting current and make it last much longer.

I would of gave this 5 stars. Definitely a better price getting these on Amazon. But the issue I had was from the description I thought I was getting 2 normally closed switches not 1 normally closed and 1 normally open. Also the 1 normally closed switch was already fused together. Wasn’t able to send this back as I need my microwave right away so I had to break it free and sand the connections down a bit. Was expecting a new non fused together switch.
