The large velcro panel that goes under the belly leaves a lot of the rough velcro side exposed for either the pet to feel. The floating strap around the chest has no additional closure except velcro, which is supposed to wrap around the two floating straps. Yes, that's right... you are supposed to wrap a velcro strap around those two chest straps, next to the fur, getting your hand and strap in between your dog and the life jacket. It is NOT a good system.

Mismeasured my dog and vest was too big but the vest itself was nice. Exchange process couldn't have gone smoother,very happy with this order experience. Update. ....naturally the next step was to order the medium, unfortunately that was somehow so small it wouldn't reach around my dog. The $5 I lost on my refund will just remind to go to Petsmart. Lol

Nice fit for my 40 lb bulldog, but without a buckle at the neck strap we fight to keep it secure. We had to attach extra Velcro to keep the vest on the dog properly. Not what you want to worry about when out on the lake.

Nice snug fit for small dogs. Most dogs are able to swim and keep their head above water. It isn't a floatation device, merely something with with a handle that you can use to steer or haul your pup onto a boat. I'm wary about the thin straps holding. Velcro strips seem minimal. Time will tell.

Love this life jacket! I have three dogs and and bought two previously. This jacket is much better quality and was way less expensive! It fits my dog perfectly and must be comfortable. He doesn't like wearing clothes but didn't mind this life jacket.

I bought the wrong size, was unclearly labeled, but seems very sturdy and is more reflective than i thought it would be which is a plus.
