The price looks a bit steep for its size, but heck wood is expensive these days! Anyway, totally happy with this. Grand daughter (20mos) walked up, hopped on and off she went. Fit is very nice, and result is very solid. Some of the machined groves look a bit oversized but the fit is still very tight, and they do not show. The wood is very nicely rounded off - no sharp edges. I Put this together in about 20 minutes while making dinner, with a drill and screw-driver bit, but if you use one be sure you can keep the speed low - mine is variable speed based on trigger pull. Otherwise get ready for a lot of hand-torquing with the screwdriver that they include or your own favorite. The screws are good sturdy steel, not the ones made out of silly putty that you get with a lot of products now days. Mildly surprised that none stripped out. As you are putting it together it may look a little narrow, but once built you will find it is small and stable. My only reservation is behavioral..... you have to watch to make sure the young-one's feet don't get caught under the rocker rails as they play. I'd suggest shoes at all times.LME

Great quality and easy to put together

Love this rocking horse for my 17 month old. I know the instructions say 2+ years, but she’s tall enough and I make sure she wears shoes. She started walking about a month ago. And she loves riding the carousel, so this seems to be the perfect timing developmentally for her to learn to rock herself.It’s very sturdy and stable. Good quality wood. The only tip I have is to substitute the screw for the handle with a longer screw so that the screw goes all the way through the handle, re-entering the horse’s head on the other side of the hole. Otherwise, the handle is loose and rickety feeling.

Purchased for my Grandson’s 1st birthday photos. My daughter had the same 1st year photos 26 years ago. Now my daughter and Grandson’s sit side by side in a frame.

Very easy to put together my 3.5 year old tested it out and loved it! Will have to purchase another one.

This rocking horse is a perfect Christmas gift for my 15 month old grandson. It's not going to take up a lot of space and it is very sturdy.
