MERIWOOL Mens Base Layer 100% Merino Wool Thermal Pants

I took a chance having never heard of this brand and bought one shirt, pants, boxers, beanie, and the neck gator. I can’t speak to longevity yet but I will update if I see more than normal wear by the end of this season. What I can speak to is the incredible thermal regulation these provide, I have the 250 gram weight and they are warm but more importantly when I go inside from the cold I can wear these for hours without overheating which was a big issue I was having with my previous layer choices. I have had issues in the past with regular wool making me itchy but all of these items are up there with the best feeling fabrics I’ve ever tried and definitely the softest and best feeling thermals I’ve ever owned. I got the green color which I think is the perfect shade of a slightly dark and rich green, really beautiful color fabric. I ordered what I thought would be my normal size and the fit is perfection, perfectly well fitting without being too tight anywhere, this was another big surprise for me. Just going off of inspecting the items initially they do seem well made and durable given the more delicate nature of the fabric. Obviously high quality cotton is much more durable if that is what you are looking for and it can be fairly comfortable feeling too but it cannot regulate temperature like this wool, for me that is priceless and these exceeded my expectations for the conditions I put them through. I found this product on my own after looking at another more well known and expensive brand, I paid full price for all of the products and this is my real opinion about them. It’s hard to differentiate between 5 star reviews anymore so I think it’s important as a real customer to point this out and when a product is actually good quality or not.

We love Meriwool products. They are so soft and don't pull down. We often wear them around the house just as pants or PJ's. I toss them in the wash and the dryer and they are just fine. We will keep buying these 100% wool products.

My family is all about silk long johns, but these are in my Christmas list every year. People think I must be cold with how lightly I can dress on top of these. Only caveat is to wash gently and dry VERY gently as they will pill, shrink and break down, but that is wool for ya!

I am very impressed with the quality of Meriwool base layers. I have other brands such as smartwool as well. I have these in mid and heavy weight and absolutely recommend them based on comfort, warmth, and price. I wear these under my light weight pants in the winter and use for hunting in late fall. If you haven't tried Meriwool I highly recommend.

These seem to fit as indicated, no need to buy one size up. Minimal to no shrinkage if washed in cold water and woolite. Thinner material but warm, the elastic band is ok, adequate, not great. I wear these throughout the winter and they are very comfortable. Five stars.

Very compact for traveling and worked well under my pants. Didn’t provide a lot of warmth.

I bought these wool pants 4 years ago and they have held up great! I wear them constantly in the spring/fall/winter snowboarding, hunting, or just when it's a little chilly out. It makes for the perfect base layer, and throwing pants over it will keep you warm in colder weather. They're not scratchy/itchy and are quite comfortable. I don't take a ton of special care when washing it, usually just with the cold water setting on my washer and low on the dryer, yet no shrinkage, tears, or loose threads. 10/10 would recommend again.

Very warm and doesn’t bunch up under pants. Easy to wash and able to dry on low!

Soft comfy and warm

This is some very nice underwear. Comfort, material are top notch. I wish Meriwool would offer these in a 6 or 9 inch boxershort version, cause in my opinion it would be a major step up from the underwear they offer now, wich are great nonetheless. I highly reccommend these products who value quality and natural clothing.
