This is the best 1/2" air impact wrench on the market.
Normally I'm not really a Proto fan - their tools aren't bad, just way over priced. However, on this thing, the price is decent and does it have the power. If this doesn't take a bolt or nut loose, it's time to get out the 3/4" stuff and a five foot breaker bar. This thing broke loose the lug nuts on my track rig that has 10:00 X20 tires on it and runs in the mud all of the time. Some of the tires haven't been off in years and this wrench took care of it with no problem. And with the Titanium body the weight is decent for such a powerful impact wrench. And to get the proper air flow to it, use a good air line and use the air couplers and nipples with the larger inside diameter - this makes a difference.Buy the thing.

Amazing impact!
I work in a heavy truck shop as a apprentice auto mechanic. This gun is single handly the best inpact I have gotten to use ever! I used to work in a dodge dealer ship doing basic repairs and changing tires and lube and stuff. I got to use most of the guns on the market from IR titaniums to the snap on guns and the matco guns to the old 231 IR I started with. This is by far the most comfortable to use which is a great thing when you use one of these all day not only is it light weight but the balance is awsome and its a really powerful gun to say the least. On paper the IR titanium makes a tad more power but Ican tell you this guns more comfortable and they have been tested within 50 lbs working tq. Of each other. I really like this line of impacts and im for sure goona get some more of them.

Impressive and innovative gun
Sometimes you buy a tool without knowing exactly what you're gonna get, good or bad. This thing has been nothing but great since I've used it. Proto really did their homework when they got into the impact market. The way the gun is weighted is pleasant and comfortable to use with less fatigue. The trigger is easy to feather and the controls are great once you get used to them if you're new to this style of power and direction controls right behind the trigger. The first time you use it you can tell it has excellent power, and it doesn't split your ears with excessive noise. I really like this gun, I didn't discover any drawbacks yet and I'm looking into the 3/4" version now. I used to like IR stuff, but this managed to convert me...
