I kind of expected this so I ended up buying a CapCap for the bottle, but the cap that comes with this is just janky. The mechanism to open it is unreliable and needs fiddling with sometimes. if you've ever used a Contigo you'd be very disappointed.That said, the bottle fits in a cupholder and holds a reasonable amount of water for day-to-day. With a replacement aftermarket cap it's the best solution. Great Nalgene quality for the bottle itself.I'm not sure I like that the volume markings on the side are on a flat surface - it makes the bottle feel weird, the bottle isn't completely round. Just a tactile thing, I'm quibbling.Good price and Nalgene has been the most reliable for me when it comes to plastic containers so I'm sticking with what works. Camelbak bottles have a dumb lit too (the old one was so much better) and they cost more. Metal bottles are only worth the extra price if you need the insulation. So as far as water bottles that hold at least 24oz and fit in a cupholder this is kind of it.

I have this bottle in 4 colors. I just replaced the first one I bought (also blue) as a freak fall caused it to break. I've dropped these bottles so many times or knocked them over and this is the first time I've ever had one break.I love the size (holds a liter of water) because the easily fit into the cupholders in my car and also in the treadmills and other cardio equipment at my gym. I drink about 3 of these every day. I take one (at least) with me everywhere!The bottles and the screw-off lids wash easily in my dishwasher.

Nalgene had great quality bottles. We use them for our kids. The top spout clicks in place and there is an extra clip to keep it shut. I find this very reassuring that my kids aren’t going to bump the top open. My kids are constantly knocking their bottles over or laying them on their side. We have never had one leak or break. We wash them in the dishwasher and it hasn’t impacted the quality. We have had the kids version Nalgene bottles for 2 years and they are still perfect. This bottle we have had for a few months and it is just as great. I know they are expensive for kids but the quality is worth the cost.

Perfect size to hold. Also appreciate the measurements on it. Has a metal clip to close it and is still working . Great for travel backpack going through airlines. Bought the smoke / clear color.

I got into a car accident a couple weeks ago. The front of my car crushed inward. The middle console was smashed. This water bottle was sitting in a cup holder. All I noticed in the aftermath was a slight abrasion on the lid. Everything was was fine. I haven't had any problems with leaks or cracks.I've been using this bottle for almost a year. No leaks. Lid design is great. The metal clip gives extra security. This thing is durable. Nalgene products are built to last in my experience.

More of a warm brown than an orange, think of it as an earth tone haha. Guessing they mixed the color wrong at the manufacturer.Still a very solid bottle. Appreciate the oz markings, easy to clean, doesn't leak. Sometimes you need to double check / use extra force to close and lock the lid, probably because it's new.

Was looking for a 24 ounce bottle for the gym that was easy to fill, drink from, and hold up. This fits the bill perfect so far. The bottle doesn't leak at all, the latch/lid locks securely, the spout is easy to drink from, and it's fairly easy to clean out. I wanted a taller versus wider/shorter bottle and this again is perfect.

Stays closed, easy to drink, durable, handles well, great size.

It just works.I wash it with a dish wand (the lil sponge-on-a-handle that you can pour soap into) without too much trouble. I've also put it in the dish washer a few times.I have dropped it a few times on concrete and worse -- still good. Typical Nalgene W (good)

sturdy waterbottle, wide cap makes it easier to fill up anywhere, narrow cap makes it easy to drink. fits in car holder. easy to carry around and the lock is trustworthy.

I’ve been using Nalgene bottles for 15+ years. They are great. My lid finally broke on my old bottle, these lids are more durable and more comfortable.

Great for kids. BPA free. holds a good amount of water for a school day. Easy to open and close. My daughter has 4 of these now in different colours.
