Is this game online only?

I bought the game in late 2018 and it was still listed as online play required. The game doesn’t even load without an internet connection.

Is this game too scary for 9 or 10 year old kids that watched some of these movies?

I don't have it yet because it's not released until October. But I played a very similar game in Dead by Daylight cause they have the Halloween dlc with Michael Myers. I think if your kids watch & enjoy the movies it isn't. However, there is something different about playing the character, you do feel in the experience some. Even playing as Michael was a tad freaky & weird.

Is Playstation Plus required to play with others? Asking for someone who wants this for xmas

Can i play this offline with someone else?

I don’t believe it’s co op at all offline. There is a single player mode and you can play offline with counselor bots.
