Does not work as advertised.
This product does not loosen up hard compacted soil. I also did not see any change in drainage of water into the soil. Not worth the extremely high price tag. Just get a cultivator/tiller and save yourself the trouble.

'Secret-sauce' for yards with wet, clay soil!
I live in Oregon and have clay soil. I discovered Groundbreaker last Spring, combing the Web for soil penetrants and reading reviews. I took a chance based on the rave reviews I saw on the Green As It Gets website. I don't know how the other reviewer came to rate this as a 1. It is magical in my book. However, with the pandemic, I have been unable to find it in a local store this Spring. Ive looked high and low and am desperate - not carried at local Lowes, Home Depot, Fred Meyer, my landscapers stores… no one seems to stock it. I've tried emailing and calling direct but have been unable to connect. I want to make sure they're still in business before I place an order with my financial info on their store website. It will cost me an extra $25 for shipping to buy it direct but my yard is suffering without it so I thought I'd check Amazon one last time to see if it was in stock. I was surprised to see this vendor marking it up almost a 100%. I paid $36 for the pre-mix quart-size from a nearby Fred Meyer last Spring. And this guy is charging $51?! Highway robbery! You can buy it direct for $34.99 on manufacturer online store. As I recall, last year I treated my yard 3 and maybe 4 times with the quart-size bottle that you hook up to your hose & spray on. My yard greened up, softened and absorbed water (I was able to cut back on watering) and held it longer. Seemed to absorb fertilizers more effectively too. After 12 years of experimenting, giving up, trying again and giving up again, this product was a life saver. Truly remarkable. They said on the packaging it works overnight. I noticed the difference right away. Family, neighbors offered compliments.I have awful anthracnose fungus on my front sycamore (entire street has it) and the Groundbreaker along with the Bayer anti-fungal granules applications made a significant difference in alleviating the normal leaf shedding I experience throughout the summer. Without GB, I'm lost -- back to autumn-like leaf drops, and having to clean gutters and horrible allergies. If you are looking for a clay soil penetrant -- give Groundbreaker a try.A bit pricey but it has done wonders for my yard. If I can find it, I'll try the gallon concentrate for better value.**6/26/2020 update**I was able to reach someone via the phone number on the Green as it gets website (1-800-476-0034). They are indeed still in business (hooraaay!). Sounds like they are working to expand inventory in stores this summer. I asked what the difference was between the 'TurfMax' -- soil treatment for lawns (37lb bag) and the liquid 'Groundbreaker'. He told me the TurfMax is the product that you want to use to introduce the changes the soil needs to break up / soften the clay and change the nature of the soil. It contains a 6-mo fertilizer and other nutrients, etc. It is what you want to use to make a long-term difference to the soil. The Groundbreaker product is a quick-acting product but doesn't change the nature of the soil long-term -- often people will use it with the TurfMax to jump-start it, but that on it's own, Groundbreaker will eventually leach out of the soil.
