Best thing I've bought for my car.
I've tried a few other products to hold my phone on my dashboard while using the GPS but none have lasted due to suction cups failing or the clips holding the phone failed. This is awesome for my car, as i have an empty slot in the dashboard near the driver window and its the perfect thickness for it to clip onto. I put the metal piece behind my bulky case and it holds it with no issue. And I got this for just under $10, can't beat that.

Works Great. Strong Hold - Downgraded
Works great in my 2017 Focus. Holds phone very securely.Updated: Over time when left in place the clamping power has decreased. The clamping power is no longer strong enough to stay in place with the phone mounted. The plastic has taken a new "Set". Longevity might be lengthened by removing the device when not in use.

Using this product in my Volvo XC90. It works ...
Using this product in my Volvo XC90. It works well but has a tendency to slide off of the dash. This is because the rubber used to keep it from sliding fell off and was not glued on well.

If you are like me and have more than one auto you drive, this is a must have. I can quickly go from pickup to RV to car. The best part is that the magnet holds the phone steady no mater if I am off road or on I35

Holds phone steady
Works great with my iPhone! Holds it up high enough clipped to the dash that I can glance at it without taking my eyes off the road. Holds my phone tight, doesn’t jump around if I’m on a rough road. Might not fit larger phones or GPS units.

Good magnet but stand shakes with car vibrations
This is a very easy way to mount the phone if you have a surface. However, since it is a slip on, does not grip the surface tightly and constantly shakes/vibrates with the car motion. Can make focusing difficult
