LimbO Waterproof Protectors Cast and Dressing Cover - Adult Full Leg (M100: 52-65 cm Upper Thigh Circ. (5’5–6’0))

I purchased the Limbo dressing cover as I was going to have knee replacement surgery and knew I would need to keep my leg dry while showering. I prefer taking a shower so I cannot comment on how this product would perform if used while taking a bath. When I unwrapped it I noticed how firm the material was. Certainly not flimsy and easily damaged. I sat on the edge of the bed and easily managed to pull the Limbo cover over my leg and dressing and the elasticated seal sat firmly around my thigh. I walked to the bathroom and noticed that the cover did not creep down my leg but remained in place. I showered as normally as I could and it did not feel like my leg or dressing were getting wet. After removing the cover my leg was completely dry. This put my mind at ease and I have now used the cover several times without incident and it still looks as good as new. In my opinion well made. I am glad I purchased this cover over other makes as it performed very well, was simply to use and very well made. I can honestly recommend it.

This is absolutely brilliant. My daughter suffered terrible burns to her leg so has to keep it dry for weeks whilst it’s healing. This product was easy for her to get on over her bandages and after measuring her leg and ordering the recommended size it fit perfectly. There was absolutely no leakage of water and her dressings stayed bone dry. An absolute life saver knowing she can still have showers! Would recommend to anyone!

I’ve been in a ROM knee brace for 10 months now, probably going to still be in it in a years time. My knee is very unstable so showering without my brace is dangerous and scary. I was urged to get this protector early on and in the few weeks where I stalled getting this product (I didn’t think a plastic bag was worth over £15) I found it very difficult to wash properly, even in the bath. So I decided to take a leap and got this. It was delivered the next day and despite thinking there was no way I would be able to get my brace and knee through the seal (it was very very swollen) it stretched easily and was fully waterproof. There is one thing I would say, try not to spend too long with this thing on, it made my leg quite hot in the shower and my leg was quite sweaty when I got out. Overall I think this is an excellent product, easy to use and perfectly waterproof.

Recently had an ACL reconstruction. In the pre-op the nurse told me about using bin bags and duct tape. A good idea, I thought. Then she said “you can get a special leg cover online but I wouldn’t waste your money”.I’m not messing about with bin bags and duct tape. If nothing else, I don’t want to look the checkout assistant in the eye when I attempt to buy those things.So this LimbO.... it’s really good. The neoprene stretchy collar works really well at maintaining a seal. The first time you use it, you’re convinced your leg is getting wet but sure enough, dry as a bone, 100% of the time. I used this for 3 weeks. It’s now folded up nicely for any time in the future when I’ll need it again.Marked 4 stars not 5 because I think for the want of a couple of long straps/handles on the side, I’d have been able to get this on right from the off, by myself. Instead, I had to ask my long suffering wife to come and help getting it on and off for the first few days.Marked 4 stars not 3 because this produced more than one opportunity to surprise my wife. This made me smile. My wife, not so much.

I fell down the stairs recently rupturing my quadriceps tendon. I was not able to shower due to the requirement to keep the wound, brace and surrounding areas dry. I has used smaller limbo products years ago for a foot op and they were great. I am so glad I bought this, I got it over the brace and was able have my first shower in over a week. The seal at the top of the leg is great. The only minor suggestion I would make is it would be an advantage to have an anti slip pad on the sole of the foot.

Used this product after falling and breaking my kneecap training for a charity run. It is essentially a large, waterproof sleeve that goes over the leg and allows you to shower both with a plastercast and a subsequent brace on, as I did. This was recommended to me by the technician who placed my leg in a plastercast as he felt there was no better alternative, after having worked for..40 years in this role for the NHS.It was a good recommendation, not only is it very comfortable and simple to slide on, it keeps the plastercast dry, which is essential. The rubber band that encircles the upper leg is tight enough to keep the leg dry and still remain comfortable, I went with a slightly larger legsize to enable me to pull the rubber band over the cast and this worked well.Once I had the plastercast removed, I found it very useful whilst I had my leg placed in a removable brace, it kept the bandages I had to wear over a large surgical scar both dry and clean, through preventing them getting wet in the shower.I was surprised at how safe I felt standing to shower too. As the plastic sleeve entirely envelops the leg and foot, I was hesitant to stand in a shower with a layer of plastic between my foot and the bath surface beneath it. I soon found I didn't have to worry, it was quite easy to place the injured leg on the bath surface without ever feeling I might slip, in fact it felt like there was more grip there.This product is simple to use, comfortable and enabled me to shower safely both with a plastercast on and the subsequent large plasters to cover the surgical scar once It was removed.An excellent product I'd recommend after having it recommended to me by someone with 40 years NHS experience in this area, I can't say more.

A previous cover tore after a while. Although more expensive your cover is stronger and a better fit making it easier to put on and off.

I love my limbo so much I have just bought another one for the other leg, I currently have both legs in bandaged so needless to say a shower was a case of taping bin bags round my legs, until a nurse suggest Limbo, it a fantastic product, its easy to put on and get off and creates a water tight seal around your leg to keep your bandage or casts dry as a bone, great job Limbo.
