A number of important design flaws
This review is for the Drake 2, 2-person tent. This is my first Coleman tent, though may well be my last.Essentially this tent comes in two parts. The inner sanctuary for sleeping, with built-in ground sheet - an atrium of sorts. The outer fly sheet attaches to the sleeping area and also to the external fibreglass frames creating a secondary area for storage and tent access.Assembly is really quite simply and should take no more than 5 minutes, even in windy conditions as this was for me. If you're new to camping this would be a good starter tent. The sleeping is spacious and will easily fit two single ground mats with room to maneuver or for storage. The upper section of the sleeping area is of a different material to the remaining area. This why still keeping out bugs, should allow for excellent air flow. The front of the sleeping area comprises a zipped door for access and a secondary smaller door, with netting to increase air flow. Coleman, this could be much larger. The fly sheet is of good quality. I like it! However, they've added transparent plastic windows (similar to a child's play house) which are prone to heavy condensation.I have two prime issues with this tent. Firstly, the elastic used to fix the sleeping area to the fly sheet are really poorly stitched. After a weeks usage with only one reassembly due to moving to a better location, these are starting to break apart. Annoyingly there's no way to replace these as they are stitched directly to the sleeping area! Coleman, how about a secondary looped connector as with the outer fly sheet? My final dislike is the fly sheet is flush to the ground. On grass (I was in long grass) this adds to condensation. The two main external air vents are poor conceived and trap moisture (a tent owners biggest nightmare). These need to be larger please Coleman. Finally the packed footprint is quite large. Too large to affix to a backpack.

Will keep you snug
No pop-up tent. Not for 3 either (unless they are really close). But I knew that. Tethered pole construction a bit fiddly but it works. With a bit of practice, you can probably put it up in a downpour or at night. The inner skin needs pegging to the out skin - there are perhaps 20 loops to do up (tedious). I mark this down because I do not trust the eleastic loops to last long - after pitching it 3 times they appear to be fraying already. Tent is very light and it does go back into its bag.

Good quality tent.
I'm new to camping so was looking for something easy to put up and pack away. I've used this tent twice now (including the first trial run in the garden) and am very impressed. It is easy and quick to put up, plenty of room for 2 people (might be a bit snug for 3 but could easily fit 3 in there) and protects well against rain. The air vents really help on hot days and the tent is fully contained so protects you against any bugs / insects getting in. I'm very happy with it. If you plan to go camping where they have hard ground then I would recommend you buy proper rock / hard ground tent pegs.

Not very hardy!
Just took tent for first run - three days in Peak District in July. It's nice and spacious, goes up pretty simply, and I like having a porch to put rucksacks. However, the floor of the porch already has a couple of small holes in it, and looking closely at the material, it's certainly not made of very hardy stuff. I see this as being a problem in wet weather as having a durable floor in a tent is the difference between a nice, dry time...and a soggy sleeping bag! Also, one of the ties used to bind outer layer of tent to poles has already started to tear it's stitching. I'm not very happy :( I would say that this is a tent for use in good weather...but if you were thinking of this lasting long-term and using in wilder conditions then it might not be for you.

Larger pack size than stated
I bought this tent for a motorcycle trip and according to the pack dimensions it would fit with a little bit to spare in my top box... Having unpacked it, set it up and repacked it I can confirm this will never happen. Feels like it was first packed in a vacuum environment and the poles including the junction piece are about 3cm longer than stated. I've had to undo the poles from the tent which defeats the whole purpose of this pitching system. I've been camping all my life and had numerous types of tents. I loved the sound of the system and all the reviews seemed to confirm it but it's really not any quicker than others. Certainly nowhere near 1 minute that's stated in the blurb. That said the tent is decent enough and the 2 man is spacious enough for 2. Going the bike trip in a month and will add to the review after a week of packing and unpacking.

Used for Glastonbury Wednesday - Monday by a couple with guy 6ft and girl 5"7. Loads of room for camping bits. Also double blow up bed used with loads of space inside.

Easy to put up tent for the spring/summer months
Good product, easy to put up, good value for money and works nicely for a bit of light camping in the spring/summer. Havn’t tried it in heavy rain yet but did get some condensation build up inside the tent that dripped a little, despite the vents being open. Two man tent has more than enough room for one, might be a bit cosy with two but the porch helps for extra space.

easy to set up, not quite as easy as in video though
brought 4 man version, which fits a double mattress in the middle and has nearly 2' / 60cm gap each sideporch is big enough to get out of main tent without unzipping, but not enough to sit in.set up / take down was fairly easy, but video showing set up is misleading and only shows putting the out sheet up, so takes about10-15mins not 5mins as video.nice and ventilated on a hot night and was quite sturdyso far really good tent.
