I love music boxes, and can be a bit picky about them, but i really like this one! It's very pretty, feels like decent quality materials were used, and works well. It isn't particularly loud, but keeps playing while closed. It'll be easy to make a small modification so that it will. The notes are clear, but it does not play the full song. Given the size, that's to be expected since longer songs need larger cylinders.

The media could not be loaded. I got this as a gift for a friend since we share a mutual love of Pirates of the Caribbean and Hans Zimmer's work, more specifically this song and One Day. I'm impressed with how sturdy and high quality it feels and looks. The details on it are even more beautiful in person. I was expecting it to play the music relatively softly, but the music is much louder in a good way, so you don't have to be standing right in front of it to hear it. I'm sure you're not supposed to man-handle it - like I did in the video - while it's playing, but it still played the song no matter which way I turned it, which I don't imagine many music boxes can do that! Only things to keep in mind is that 1) the top will close pretty loudly if you aren't careful/gentle closing it, and 2) if you place it directly on a stone or marble-like surface, you will hear a slight vibration against it, which isn't the most appealing, but not bad enough to not NOT buy it.

My son and daughter love Davie Jones song on pirates of the Caribbean, so when I saw this I wanted to get it for them. They love it. This is a touching keepsake I'm sure they will keep forever. The sound and quality are excellent.

Received this beauty for Christmas, and it does not disappoint. Sounds identical to Davy Jone's music box from the film. Perhaps unintentionally, the box distorts based on pressure given on the lid - producing an ethereal quality which again twins with the movie. Overall? I find the box beautiful, comfortably heavy, and crisp - even if you're not in it for the Pirates of the Caribbean motif it is still worth considering buying.

I absolutely love this! My daughter plays it all the time. She loves her music boxes. This one is one of my faves tho. Its actually loud as well. It's fun to watch the wheels turn and the box it came in makes an elegant touch. My daughter actually kept the box for her trinkets
