Q: what is the difference between new style and new style 2022? one is about 10.00 more? just curious

I did not have that option when I bought mine. I just looked for the larger package so that all 6 kids had something to do.

Yes, depending how you build it. You can make your own design or follow the many ideas/directions they send. We bought this two years ago for our grandkids. At that time they were 3-12. They loved it. They made it into a fort of their own design and added blankets, pillows and toys. They have followed some of the ideas the company sent, but really like making their own designs.

Q: Are the balls hollow or solid?

Solid with cut outs in them to place the rods.
