The idea behind the product is fine but really what size of repair are they expecting you to make? Your provided with all the colours and solution you need but then they give you a really really really silly little (and I do mean little) peace of fabric reinforcement fabric!!! Anything other than a small hole the size of a cigarette burn and the product is useless due to the size of the reinforcement patch. If you have destructive dog's or cat's like myself don't bother this won't cut the mustard just go out and buy a new chair sofa or bed that is cat or dog resistant. In summary its a product that had a lot of potential but has been severely let down by cost cutting on probably the cheapest item!?!?!?

I have a leased automobile and there was a small burn mark on the passengers seat. I ordered this product to repair the mark and was doubtful at first, but it did the job perfectly and you would never be able to tell that there had ever been any damage. Thr instructions were clear and easy to follow.

Very happy with the product, bought to repair a couple of small tears on the arms of an armchair I bought second hand - the chair was quite cheap and we didn't want to pay for re-upholstering at this stage so this seemed like an option. The instructions aren't the clearest but once you start making the repair it all starts to make sense. The repair seems quite strong and the colour matching was reasonable - the pattern on the chair was quite a complex damask so I don't think it would every be possible to recreate it totally but it makes a close approximation. The kit actually stretches quite far I patched three holes one about the size of a 50p piece and two about the size of a 5p piece, I still have over two thirds of the patching material and most of the colour fibres left over. Overall I am quite satisfied with the product and consider it a worthwhile investment.

Great idea but not for most upholstery. Think before you use it. Will be great for lower end furniture but will as, guaranteed, eat away at most surfaces. I am sure it is great for the most basic furniture types but otherwise - use it but with CAUTION!

I used this to repair a warn bolster on driver's seat of my VW Golf. It does the job, but it's a little tricky mixing the fibres to match the upholstery colour. To get gray, you need to mix white and black fibres together. It ended up looking a bit silver when applied to the seat. However, it has worn to a reasonable match now. The glue that is used to bond the fibres seems pretty robust.

This product is incredibly fiddly and tricky to use; Believe me I have tried- several times! It may work on other types of fabric, but on Velour forget it! 'Repairs' that I made, stick out like a sore thumb, and I would consider myself pretty handy at most crafts/repairs/diy whatever would care to call it; Also product is not worth the money for what you get. I have given it 2 stars just purely for speed of delivery.
