Wish I could give this thing two more stars.I was looking for a reference book to practice scales on guitar. This little gem is perfect. Very well illustrated and all the scales you need are right there with a little explanation to provide some perspective on the importance/usefulness of the scale. It is also spiral bound which happens to be hidden behind a very handsome hard cover. Very well thought out feature and much much appreciated. I send all by music books out to be cut and spiral bound so that I can use them on the music stand. I can skip that aggravating step an expense with this book.This is just a great companion for any guitar player regardless of level of expertise. At less than $10, I'll be handing them out as gifts as well to my guitar buddies!

I purchased this book for my prison pen pal who requested it. He said it is a beautiful and very useful book.
