I've had this for a couple of months now, since my second Chi died. My first Chi gave out after about 10+ years of daily use, but my second died within just two years. I opened my second Chi up and replaced the fuse, but it only worked for a couple of days after that. Annoyed and no longer in the mood to fix it, I looked for another brand.I considered going with GHD or Babyliss, but kept finding reviews where GHD seemed to be having massive problems with their units beeping and flashing (and not working), and Babyliss was pulling on hair. I called my salon and got the brand of their straightener, and promptly bought it. I have to say, I like my GlamPalm. It heats up in about two seconds, holds it temperature well, and distributes heat evenly. I get results the first swipe, which is great with a new baby. It has an auto shut-off, a protective heat-resistant plastic cap, and heat settings. My Chi didn't have any of those things.Very happy customer.

I like using for my short hair. Since I had my haircut, it is short, it is hard for me to manage the hair after I washed it. Thanks for this one, I can style my hair, and my hair looks nice. It is good, I do not feel my hair get dry so far. I love it. One star is taken away is, I thought it should come with a nice comb, so we can use it properly when we are ironing our hair. It is like a courtesy for us to better match using this good quality, and expensive one.

Bought this for the wife, she loves it... I reviewed a lot of other products and this one seemed to have a good review overall. Not sure how to use it myself, but if she loves it, then it must be pretty good. Wife is Asian with long black Asian hair if that helps anyone :p

I read that this was the best iron on the market. I am caucasian with very thick hair, but even on the hottest settings this iron barely held any curl after a few hours. Even to straighten pieces I had to go over it a few times. It feels like there is barely any pressure when you clamp down on the piece you are straightening. I had to squeeze it pretty hard to get it to straighten my hair. I've used other irons like the Croc and found it worked much better than this one. I had to send it back, which is unfortunate because I loved that the heat was adjustable and had read such good reviews! Maybe for half the price I would consider keeping this iron.

Absolutely wonderful. Very easy to use, and I love the ability to change the temperature for my needs.Have purchased other flat irons, but, this is by far the best one!May need to order a larger one next!
