South Shore Furniture, Prairie Collection, Headboard 54"/60", Country Pine

I had been a Sauder fan for many years. I needed two headboards and purchased this one as well as a Sauder. Let me explain it this way. If the Sauder headboard was made in 2014 and your were to wake up and look at it, then you would assume that the South Shore headboard was manufactured in 2054. To begin with the Sauder weighed just under 100 pounds while this one is half that. The Sauder took over an hour to assemble while this one took 10 minutes. This one looks much more like real wood than does the Sauder. There are a couple of things that I was not happy about. If you call customer service you will have to listen to greetings in way too many languages for someone with my limited amount of patience. The print in the manual is too small and will probably be about right 40 years from now. The manual also explains how part 158 works even though your headboard will have part number 159 instead. Also, the cam screws have arrows on them to assist you in properly placing them. In the step where they are required you are not reminded of this. The manual has you needing something they call a Robertson screwdriver which ls not used. These are very small points and do not take away from the nice changes that have been made to a home assembled product that used to be the purview of Sauder. This would be the logical green choice given the more economical use of natural resources.

Very nice headboard. It's not real wood, but you can't expect real wood for such a low price. It's very sturdy and looks like real wood. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that it was very hard to put together and some of the parts that should have been together when they came had come apart. The job would have been a whole lot easier if they hadn't been put together so poorly in the first place. For the money, it's really very nice. I would buy again if needed.

Okay, but one edge didn't line up correctly, leaving a gap . . . visually disturbing but still functional. Wish they provided distinct full and queen width headboards, but apparently this is seen in a lot of inexpensive headboards. Definitely like the design; goe well with our other Prairie Collection pieces which we have used to inexpensively furnish a guest room..

i think for the money its really not that bad..it only took me about 20 minutes to assemble..the quality is ok..its not super cheap or hallow..it has some weight to it..i just needed something for me and the wife for a few months to hold us over until we move into our first home and get a real bed..but if your in school, dorm, or for kids..this is great..especially for guest bedroom..for the price..it cant be beat..

Absolutely shoddy!!! Half of the holes were not drilled into the headboard. Had to buy a drill and to make over half the holes so it could be put together. Then the screws included with the headboard to attach it to the bed were too tiny so I had I to go buy screws as well. The holes to attach the headboard to the bed frame didn't line up either, so I had to drill holes in order to attach it to the bed. This was a Christmas gift for my daughter and we were very disappointed and tired after spending hours making trips to Walmart and fighting with this thing to get it together. If you don't mind drilling your own holes and buying additional screws, then maybe this is the headboard for you.

Nice Product....Heavy wood, nicely finished.....easy to assemble....I bought two for beds in my cabin....which has knotty pine walls...good match....I looked at a lot of headboards on Amazon but these seemed the best value for the money....

Love the style and is sturdy although it shipped with a scratch and had to modify to fit my full size bed frame which meant buying bolts to attach Thank you

Great if you want inexpensive bedroom furniture that looks good. It's a pain to have to put everything together, but other than that, this is very pretty and looks great in my bedroom!

I know it's designed for a queen/double but it's a bit wobbly for a double bed. The supports on the side need to be reinforced. They are not strong enough to support the weight of the headboard. The entire headboard is made of pressboard, but the sides should have been made of wood.
