So helpful!
I had some other visor extenders in my vehicle. My daughter hated when she wanted a quick look in the mirror (on the visor), but the visor extender straps and the extender itself utilized the entire side of the visor. I finally found these for my daughter about a year ago and they work great! The plastic is not flimsy and it is easy to fold it up and unfold it for use. I really like how solid the plastic piece is and it doesn't scratch as easily as the flimsy ones. They are easy to install and just as easy to clean. The clips don't obstruct use of the mirror inside the visor.

Saves you from the blinding sun.
Very easy to clip on the visor. Yes and don't spread them too far or they will crack. Perfect for driving in the setting sun. I put one on the passenger visor as well. Just have a little problem with the hinges. They seem tight and squeak when I put the visor up or down. I tried applying silicone, vaseline and pledge on them but that didn't seem to help. It is mostly when it is hot outside. But still can't' drive without them.

A good substitute if you can't use your car visor
I bought this because my actual visor is broken. If it's not pinned to stay up it will just hang flimsily in front of me. So I can't use that to block the sun anymore.Pros:- The clips are sturdy and easy to slide onto the car visor.- It can rest flat against the visor, or you can flip it back so it's flush to the windshield; either position will keep it out of your way when not needed.- It definitely blocks the sun! I have previously relied on a cheap hat when I'm driving into the sun; this is much better!- It rotates easily, so if you want to flip it down briefly and then flip it back up when you don't need it, it's just as easy as using your car's visor.Cons:- With this in place, the car visor cannot come down all way, so I would need to remove it if I want to use the mirror inside the visor.- The edge catches a light when in use, so even though it mostly blocks the sun, sometimes there is one bright spot on the bottom edge. I think this may be correctable with a smartly placed strip of black tape on the bottom edge.- If you do not store it up against the windshield and sit up straight, it will catch reflections from things you're passing and that can be mildly distracting.Overall I am very happy with this purchase. Fixing my car's visor would cost me $150; this is a much more affordable and effective solution.

It works great and fits securely over the visor of my 2010 ...
Finally a solution for me! This is the 3rd product I have tried to alleviate the blinding glare I often encounter during my commute. It works great and fits securely over the visor of my 2010 Toyota RAV 4. When not in use it is simply folded up against the back side of the visor. Unlike others I have tried I can still access the slide-covered mirror on the front portion of the visor. It should also avoid getting scratched ( a major distraction) since it remains out of the way unless it's needed. Because of the way it is oriented I can easily use my left hand to just pull it down and into position while driving. You simply lower your visor first and then use that same motion to lower hinged the glare-blocker shade. Because it is snug I don't have to worry about it dropping down suddenly if I hit a rough patch on the road.(another major annoyance from my previous glare blocker).I'm not sure why some people have complained about distortion. Mine arrived covered with a thin protective plastic film. Once I peeled that off the surface was perfectly smooth and scratch free.

More of a hazard than a help
I regret this purchase, but it's not worth the hassle or cost to return it. It's not as helpful as I thought it would be. It's plastic so the view is slightly distorted. When it's up and not in use (but your normal visor is down), it's shiny and the reflections on it are distracting. You have to set it at a certain angle so that the sun's reflection on it's edges isn't glaring in your eye, so annoying. Keep in mind too that if you have a mirror on your visor and want to use it, you'll need to flip this glare visor down first to move it out of the way of the mirror. This part isn't as much of an issue as I don't usually use the mirror while I'm driving, but it may be an issue for those of you who do. The only time I do find this useful is when I move my visor to the side window. It's not as distracting then and I don't have to look through it and see the distortion.

Does the job. Great Price
This does the job it's intended to do, and I'm short, so really needed something for when the sun's so low in the sky it's totally blinding me while I drive. However, I can't give it 5 stars because it's also a total dust magnet! I have a 3 week old brand new car, so there can't possibly be that much dust floating around in it, but when I use this thing, I can see every speck. When I try to wipe it, the static cling just puts it all back. I carry a teeny bottle of Windex in my glove box to help when I wipe down the inside windows once in a while, so I'm sure it'll also help with this. It also seems to show little lines - like scratches, but they're not - it's brand new and didn't have the protective shield peeled off until I put it on my visor. It's just the material, I guess, and when it's at a certain angle, it's very noticeable. But, it can be angled any way you need it, so with a little adjustment, it's fine. the clips fit nice and tight, and do NOT interfere with my visor mirror, so it's just what I was looking for. I'm just disappointed it's not crystal clear to see through.

Awesome Convenient Sun Shade Extender
I’ve bought these several times and love them! I actually don’t drive anywhere without mine pulled down for protection from the Florida sun. It’s great when you swing your visor around to the side window as it extends down for protection from the glare and heat; it’s great when you’re driving into the sun and pull it down in front of you. You can see through it clearly, sometimes you have to tip it a little bit so there’s no reflection but it is a great item. It slides onto my visor easily and I find it to be sturdy.!Well worth the money for me!
