Q: Can this be used as a booster for model train dcc control ?

Q: Will it work in Australia as well?

There is a switch on the back of mine to switch between 110V 60Hz or 220V 50Hz. So yes it will work.

Q: to what direction should the AC input switch be set if i want to select 220v ? (should the 220v be covered if i have 220v AC sockets?)

The voltage that you are going to be operating on (220v) should be set to show (not covered) on the selector. I operate mine on 110, so that is what is showing on the voltage selector.

Hello John Thanks for your attention us on Amazon. Do you mean the displayed decimalism "30" number, that is same as the function of 'CV", but is just decimalism. "30.00" it will be much more precisely. As same as the idea, "0.000" CC you can use it with more accurate current readout. Hope that it will help you a little. Thanks.
