Easy Jazzy 'Tudes (treble clef brass)

Inspiring tunes.
Mark Nightingale really knows how to write them. I teach loads of kids on all kind of brass instruments. If one of them is doing a grade then probably one of the Easy Jazzy 'Tudes will end up being their favourite. In so many other cases the study can be seen as boring, but Mr Nightingale keeps on writing winners. Please keep up the good work Mark.

Easy to read and good collection of tunes
Bought this for son's grade 3 exam on recommendation of his music teacher. Some great tunes in there and the CD is really handy to hear how a tune goes beforehand. getting lots of use!

A brilliant little volume
Students will find the studies in this book attractive though they won't appreciate just how cleverly they are written. The Nuthatch, for example, is brilliant for familiarising students with the D major scale. This is a grade 2 study and D major is a grade 2 scale. Perfect! Similarly, "The Turkey" picks up all seven possible sharps, yet it never becomes a dull "chromatic" exercise. The pieces show huge insight in the way they are written.coming pedagogical rigour with wit and charm.

Great intro to Jazz, Rock, Samba etc...
A very good book to introduce kids to styles of music other than classical. An essential publication if you're putting students through Trinity exams.

I LOVE this book!
Perfect for the learner brass player, young or old. This book has been written by a brass player for brass players - Mark Nightingale understands the challenges of the instrument and writes a great tune. Loads of ABRSM exam materials in here, too, so offering excellent value for money. No learner brass player should be without this book, so buy a copy for your favourite cornet player today! :)
