MerrellMen's Trail Glove 7 Sneaker

Favorite trail shoe when worn without socks
Pros: incredible, mountain goat like traction and support with minimal bulk while allowing you to feel the ground. Heel is not overly rigid so can be worn without a layer between heel and shoe. Breathable, functional when wet. Thick supportive upper material that gives firm support but while remaining breathable. Bottom of sole very protective so you will not feel small rocks or roots despite being a zero drop minimalist shoe.Cons: a little snug, especially in toe box. Could be wider without allowing foot to slide around. A little abrasive on top of foot near toes if wearing barefoot (some irritation above 4/5th metatarsal with prolonged use after getting wet). Not very water resistance.Perfect use: short hikes or trail runs on easy to moderate terrain, especially if rocky versus wet/ muddy. Do very well on rocks. Better for runners who foot strike directly underneath.. not a lot of heel cushioning if that's what you need.

A Trustworthy Companion for Diverse Hiking Adventures
I recently took the Merrell Men's Trail Glove 7 Sneakers on a road trip across the US, and they proved to be an excellent choice for my hiking adventures. As someone who weighs around 230 lbs, finding comfortable hiking footwear can be a challenge, but these sneakers exceeded my expectations. They provided exceptional comfort and support, even after prolonged periods of hiking, which is a testament to their design and cushioning. The versatility of these sneakers was truly put to the test as I traversed various terrains, from deserts and forests to mountain trails. They held up remarkably well in different environments, offering the stability and grip needed for safe and enjoyable hikes. It's rare to find a pair of sneakers that can adapt so well to such a range of conditions, and these Trail Glove 7s did just that. One piece of advice for potential buyers: be cautious when hiking on really dusty trails. The mesh design of the sneakers, while great for breathability, does tend to let in a fair amount of dust. This wasn't a deal-breaker for me, as they are easy to clean, but it's something to consider if you're not keen on the idea of dust getting between your toes.In conclusion, the Merrell Men's Trail Glove 7 Sneakers are a solid choice for anyone looking for durable, comfortable, and versatile hiking footwear. Their performance across various terrains is impressive, and they manage to provide comfort and support even for a heavier individual like myself. Just keep in mind the mesh's susceptibility to dust on certain trails, and you'll be set for a great hiking experience.

Not bad for muddy hiking.....so far
I got these Merrell Trail Glove 7 sneakers for walking and some hiking. Around here, the hikes get really muddy and I have slogged and hiked thru some pretty intense mudholes and muddy paths and these flat sneakers did rather well. I did not slip or slide very much.....better than my hiking boots would have done. These sneakers are easy to clean, mostly just rinse/wash them off outside with a water hose or water puddle. Sizing is "as expected" in my case. I may get a second pair of these soon because I like these flat sneakers for hiking about as much as my Merrell Vapor 6 sneakers I also got.

Size 14 Super Comfortable
Think I like these better than my other brand of "barefoot" shoes. Nice toe bed. A little more cushion than another popular brand of barefoot shoe. May be switching brands!

Not as minimalist as my old New Balance Minimus 10 V1
I don't like these much, but I gave these three stars because I'm comparing them to the no-longer-available New Balance Minimus 10 V1 which for me were the most comfortable article of clothing of any kind I've ever worn, and these are in fact decent quality and may work for other people. But compared to other minimal/barefoot shoes I've tried (especially the New Balance but also shoes from Within and Xero), these are both narrower and longer. They are about as wide as a wide-size "traditional" shoe and about as long as a "traditional" shoe. All the other minimal shoes are wider and just a tad shorter (in the same size).I have slightly asymmetric arches, which in minimal shoes I can't tell, but in "traditional" shoes I feel when I first put them on, and then stop noticing after a few minutes. These are in between in that area.I like the idea of the padding around the opening to keep dust/dirt out (the one tiny weakness of my old New Balances), but they went slightly too far and as a result it is hard to get these to feel as secure without over-tightening them.Over all, I consider these a lot better than "traditional" shoes, and I'll probably use them around the house/yard until I wear them out, but they'll never be my favorite go-to for when I'm going to be on my feet a lot.

Merrell shoes
A comfortable shoe. Light weight. A bit heavier sole than the first ones I bought. These are more suitable for my needs.

Great all rounder
I had the previous version of these as a daily shoe, and enjoyed them until they wore out. To my mind these are better constructed. The attachment of the sole to the top of the shoe at the toes has been reworked, so there is less chance of coming apart (happened on my pair of the previous version). The shoe tongue now allows for easier insertion of the foot, and somehow this doesn’t compromise the seal that prevents dirt from entering. These are more accommodating for wider feet, than the previous version. Size-wise, if you do have wider feet, I would still recommend going half a measure up.

finally they fixed the Trail Glove in version7!
They fixed the issues with this shoe from previous 5 and 6 and I am really pleased with the way it feel. It is my new all-about shoe now. As usual it fits a little small - I wear normally US9 but had to buy US8.5 for perfect fit

Style and size are great
My partner has bare foot. She has been wearing the trail glove 5 version, this version 7 is an upgrade, the style looks nicer and fits her very well.

Lieblingsschuhe
Sie halten also max. 1-1,5 Sommersaisonen.

Stylische Sneaker
Schuhe fallen eine Nummer kleiner aus.Fühlen sich am Fuß sehr gut an.Sohlen sind elastisch und haben ausreichende Festigkeit.Steinchen drücken nicht auf die Fußsohlen.
