I've always wanted a Martin guitar, and now I have one.
I've been playing guitar for 10 years now, and I've always wanted a good quality Martin Guitar. Now, I have one. First of all, I'd like to say that this guitar is beautiful to look at. Even though its HPL the Koa Pattern back and sides looks really, really nice. The Sitka Spruce top with matte finish and no binding make this guitar stand out in the crowd. The neck on this guitar is stratabond, which is also a laminate, but it results in a really sturdy neck that isn't prone to warp or bend and should rarely need adjusting. The action on this guitar is very low, which I like. The fretboard is richlite, a synthetic material, but honestly I can't tell the difference in it and ebony. The F1 analog pickup is what makes this guitar an awesome choice for any performer. I play twice a week, every week in the Praise Team at my church. Being able to plug this guitar in and fine tune the sound really makes for a great sounding performing guitar. The little touches make this guitar an awesome choice for anyone wanting to get into the performing artist series, or like me wanting a good quality instrument with great electronics. Whatever the case may be, the GPCPA5K is an awesome guitar.

So much better than I would have ever hoped for . . .
I had a mahogany Martin in college that was stolen some decades ago. I always wanted to replace it but never did until my wife bought me the GPCPA5K. The very moment I picked it up and played, the familiarity and feel of the Martin fret board brought all my old muscle memory to the surface. I could not put this guitar down for four hours when I first took it out of the box. It needed no adjustment of any kind other than tuning. I find myself drawn to it like an old friend even though it is brand new. This is the kind of guitar that teaches you to play something new every time you pick it up - it is that good of a guitar - despite the billing that it is a lower end Martin. It is a Martin and is worthy of the name. The Fishman electronics are very good (amazing in fact). The matte finish is very well done and is a welcome departure from the run-of-the-mill high gloss finishes that are everywhere. I have scrubbed the web for negative reviews and simply cannot find a single one. I love this guitar and will for a long, long time.

This is an excellent mid priced guitar and is very forgiving and easy ...
I received this guitar about two months ago and play it every day. This is an excellent mid priced guitar and is very forgiving and easy to play. I wish that I would have had a guitar of this quality when I was learning to play as chords are very easy to form and sound great. The tuning machines are high quality and the guitar holds its tune for long sessions. The fretboard is set to an ideal height for playing. At this price you will not get a Martin that is made in Pennsylvania (this guitar is manufactured in Mexico), but the quality is so good I really don't mind. This guitar would make a great gift for an amature or hobby player.

Buying great quatity, and great great sounding guitar.
The guitar was better than expected. It has a darker finish on the front and back than it looks on the picture (which I personally like). It has a nice deep, and clean sound to it. Solid guitar. Strings are great. Came tuned, and shipped fast. This guitar made playing more enjoyable for me, due to its easy to play quality's. Strings are more comfortably spaced apart from one another. I found it much easier to play than my Fender.

Great to finally own a Martin!
Plays great unplugged or plugged in - I use this one to record these days or if playing in Nashville. Generally though, I keep it hidden safe at home in the studio. The action is a little high out of the factory so I need to get that adjusted, but overall a great guitar.

Great guitar.
Great guitar it really plays well. It wasn't the pick guard design I was hoping for so that why i give it 3 stars, false advertizement. When i buy something i want it exactly like the picture.

Awesome
This is the best guitar I've had. The action and tone, not to mention the resonance exceeds my imagination. Love it. Best anything I've bought in ages. Just given my Ovation away cause I'll never want to pick it up again. Arrived day after order as well.
